Product Information
As Elizabeth Swire Falker well knows, infertility can be devastating, both emotionally, medically, and financially, but it is survivable. The author -- a lawyer who underwent seven years of infertility treatments before choosing to adopt -- has written a comprehensive, candid book that offers advice, strategies, and the wisdom and understanding of someone who's been there. Written in a reassuring, friendly voice, Falker does an excellent job of making highly technical medical information accessible, and helps navigate the many challenges that need to be faced, such as finding the right doctor, dealing with insurance, getting emotional support, and becoming your own best advocate for good medical care. It's a reassuring and insightful handbook that every woman trying to conceive could benefit from.

Extremely Helpful and Informative

This book got me through a very tough period of my life with a lot of information, which I needed. I was able to look back to different topics as we went further into infertility treatments up to IVF. I plan to pass this book on to my sister who is now starting her first IUI.

Helped me survive IVF

This was an extremely informative book with a dose of gentle humor. Infertility is hard, but this helped me get through the IVF process with success. She really knows what she is talking about and gives great advice that will take you step by step through IUI and IVF. I could not have gotten through it without this book. I was very nervous about the shots but thankfully the directions were very thorough. My husband and I read and re-read passages of it every night before injections.

Outstanding Book!

I cannot say enough about this book. The author is candid and caring. I appreciated her honesty about how difficult infertility can be. After every appointment, I would read and re-read. She writes on your level, when doctors tend to throw around scary, medical words. Pick this book up even if you suspect infertility. Its a great read!
