              Comments about Explorer - Red:

My wife and I spent time researching different manufacturers and decided to purchase the Phil and Ted's Explorer. We liked the look, comfort and feel of their product and spent over $1,500 on all of the accessories. It was difficult to set-up and the manual is the worst I have ever seen. Beyond that, our unit was recalled for what they deemed as a 'proactive approach' to possible issues. The brakes did not work and they described it as though it was an loose strap. Instead of replacing the unit for us, they sent us a new frame to assemble with new tools (which you did not need to assemble when you initially bought the unit). We assumed this was going to be easy based on the fact that they would rather send us a frame vs. taking back the unit. It was a 3 hour project to address their recall. When we finished, the brakes still did not work and they wanted to send us a new frame (recall of a recall) to reassemble and spend another afternoon on a stroller. I could not believe their company's willingness to have you rebuild this unit for them based on their recall in order to save them a few dollars. I was more than happy to address a faulty component and appreciated the heads-up but this was a major issue with no brakes and they were asking you to spend an afternoon to fix it for them vs. replacing the unit. In addition, we purchased the "peanut" bassinet which kept falling out if the stroller and was not stable. It was actually more dangerous than the brake issue. I could not be more disappointed in a product and have never taken the time before this to write a review.

              Comments about Explorer - Apple:

With our first child we invested in the Chariot and used it as a stroller as well as skiing/biking/running stroller and absolutely loved it. I did a ton of research before investing in this stroller when our second was born. I have a 2yr old (who is bigger than most 3yr olds) and a 2mth old (so admittely I haven't had the stroller that long). Although its not perfect, I really love it.

It acts like a single stroller in its size and performance. I didn't want the double wide problems and this solves that. I also didn't like the tandem strollers that steer like boats and take up so much space. I live in the city and needed a stroller that was compact and functional.

IT IS BULKY - but far less bulky than anything else on the market. It is a good 10-15lbs lighter than most of its competition and I love that it fits conveniently in my trunk (small suv).

NOT EASY TO OPEN/CLOSE - its functional but kinda annoying and frustrating at times, but its easy to overlook. I haven't found that any of these types of strollers are as easy as the double wide strollers.

I have yet to experience any issues with the tires, but I haven't owned it that long. I do have a good friend who has been using a version of the stroller for over a year with no complaints on the tires. Like any bicycle tire, it needs a little care and maintence. I don't understand why people are shocked by this.

Overall if you are looking for a stroller that will make transporting two small children comfortable and easy this is an excellent option.

Be smart, you can typically get 20% off if you do your homework and potentially get the double kit (that smaller seat) free. It makes it a much more affordable option.

              Comments about Explorer - Apple:

I LOVE this stroller! LOVE it! I had a Peg Perego for my first, and had no complaints about it, but once I got this one I could immediately tell it is the BMW of strollers. I needed a double once I had my second and I despise how bulky, large, and awkward all the side by sides and "limosine" double strollers are. When I found this, I knew I had to get it and I haven't been disappointed. This one is awesome! It rides so smoothly compared to the Peg Perego. It can fit in smaller spaces and is easier to maneuver than other kinds of double strollers. Also, we just have a Civic and it fits in the trunk easily, not to mention it can collapse using only one hand. I was worried that my son wouldn't want to sit down there without a good view, but he actually loves it and prefers it. I love that it can accommodate an infant that needs to lie down flat, an infant carseat (mine is a Graco), and also a toddler. It can also accommodate any combination of those if you get a doubles kit. It is very ingenious! I also like the handle height adjustment. I am 5' 9" and I always have to bend over somewhat to push strollers, but not this one! It's so great.
Another reviewer mentioned it tipped over. I have never had this problem, (I haven't even had any inklings of it, even going off curbs) and I imagine she must not have heeded the weight limit specified in the manual.
              Cons:
It is a bit awkward to unfold from your trunk without letting the handle touch the ground. The sun viser thing sometimes comes off after folding it up. (but I think it's so cool that it's removable). When you are using the doubles kit, you loose out on the underneath storage because that is where the second child puts their feet. You can still fit some things, but it may not be very comfortable for your child to cram it full.
All in all, it's much better than everything else you can find. Worth every penny.

                  Comments about Explorer - Navy:

I am a parent of two and this is my first product comment EVER. When my second child was born, I was looking for a double stroller. This one received good reviews but I have had nothing but problems with it. Steering is difficult. Had to replace two tires and it turns out tires are not covered under warranty. I have followed directions and fill air only to recommended PSI too but they keep popping, deflating, etc. I have a BOB and never ever had any issues like I'm having with the Explorer. Also its very difficult to fold and unfold. I would NEVER set foot in an airport with this stroller. The various straps for all the different settings are incredibly annoying. The Explorer was not supposed to tip when second child crawls into the back (added attachment that makes it double stroller) but it actually tipped over. They had problems in past and supposedly fixed it the balance issues in new version. I'm very displeased with this purchase. I could go on and on. Definitely horrible for double stroller use.
