  • gDiapers Biodegradable gRefills - Case of 4

Parents can breathe easy using biodegradable gRefills inside reusable Little gPants. gDiapers are the only diaper to be certified 100% biodegradable. They’re breathable, which means babies are far less likely to get diaper rash.

There are three options for disposal: flush, compost or toss. Because gRefills are plastic-free they break down quickly, unlike disposables, which can take 500 years to break down. gRefills are certified Cradle to Cradle, which means everything that goes into a gRefill will be reabsorbed into the eco-system in a neutral or beneficial way.

Available in size small and medium/large. Size small includes 40 biodegradable gRefills.  Medium/large includes 32 biodegradable gRefills.

    About gDiapers

The first new choice in diapers in more than 40 years, gDiapers is the best of cloth and disposable in one earth-friendly diaper. gDiapers provides parents with a diapering solution that is good for babies, parents and the planet. Parents have the flexibility of a disposable diaper with a 100% biodegradable gRefill or they can opt for reusability of super soft and trim-fitting gCloth. gDiapers are plastic-free, elemental chlorine free, latex free, and perfume free.

gDiapers biodegradable gRefills can be home composted, tossed, or flushed. They are the only certified 100% biodegradable diaper and break down in about 3 months, unlike disposables which can take up to 500 years.

gDiapers are a two-part system. The gRefill or gCloth fits into a pair of colorful Little gPants. When the gRefill or gCloth is soiled simply remove, replace, and re-use the same Little gPant."

Comments about gDiapers Biodegradable gRefills - Case of 4:

I give three stars because they are environmentally friendly, but that's about it.When I said they leak. I forgot to mention that every single diaper change leaks good old fashioned URINE. Not just [*] on the liner. Every single change, your cover will be wet. Period the end. I have 7 covers and liners. What I do over the course of a day is use two covers. I let one dry while she's wearing the other. Then, at the end of the day, I put them in the laundry. Otherwise, you will be washing 7 of these covers a day. Which, of course, will result in the covers falling apart. I emailed the company, they replied, "because of the human element involved with the sewing process, there are problems." In other words, our stuff falls apart, sorry. And if you don't send the covers that you spent [$] on within 45 days, you're out of luck. Even though within that amount of time your baby was born and the cover may have only been washed ONCE when it fell apart. If you can sew, there are many, many patterns out there for covers. You can also find cloth insert patterns as well. Personally, I'm not the crafty type, but my sister is. she is sewing me a set of Mediums of a much better cover and insert. gDiapers is not the only answer to environmentally friendly diapers. Trendy, yes. Expensive, yes. But not the only answer. Again, for the amount that I paid for the covers, they should last through at least two kids at each size. Not, in some cases, ONE washing. And the liners? Forget it. The elastic falls apart. They are useless before baby grows out of first size. I wash them on a delicate cycle. I'm very careful with them. I think the best bet for the liners and covers is to hand wash. Unfortunately, I do not have time with a young infant. Also, when I use one insert, it bunches and only a bit of it gets wet before it leaks onto the cover. What I do is double up on every change. This way, they don't bunch and the entire insert gets wets. Even though they leak onto the cover anyway, it's better to use most of the inserts instead of wasting most of one.

I love the green factor but my husband and I really love the ease of just flushing the grefills down the toilet. No stinking diaper in the diaper pail. In my experience they don't leak, they hold in the breastfed poop better than disposables. I have been a Gmom for three months and love it! Their facebook page community really helps with questions.
Some of the other reviewers say they 'leak', it all depends on what you describe as leaking. The baby poop does end up on the liner but rarely on the pants. The liner are meant to hold the poop, hence the name liner. If the liner or poop get poop stains on them after being washed and hung dry just Sun dry them. The Sunshine bleaches out the poop stains naturally.

I love that they are good for the environment and we don't have to make so many trips to the dump. With two kids in diapers, we had a full garbage can every week! My boys do not get diaper rash anymore, they are very soft and natural feeling.
Really cute too, we get so many compliments!!!

Comments about gDiapers Biodegradable gRefills - Case of 4:

We've been using gDiapers since the birth of our 2nd child in February (we used disposables with our 1st). They are awesome! Unlike the disposables they don't leak...we have had NO "poop outs"...you know the ones that go up the back and front and down the legs. These diapers contain the mess, even the colossal-breast-fed-baby-loose-poops that sometimes come. It was an adjustment getting used to wiping out the liner, but even my husband doesn't mind now. We use these refills at night and when camping (since we can compost the wet ones and use outhouses for the messy ones), and the cloth inserts during the day (the biodegradable ones are a little more absorbent than the cloth). We do not flush the messy ones at home because we have an issue with tree roots in our pipes, but we only throw out a few per week, and knowing that they will break down in the landfill quicker than disposables makes it ok for us. Make sure you read the washing instructions (I didn't with the small size and regretted it) that says not to machine dry the liner...it makes them stretch out and lose their ability to be waterproof.

Comments about gDiapers Biodegradable gRefills - Case of 4:

We are pretty disappointed. I bought seven covers and two cases of inserts before our baby was born. We used newborn enviro. friendly disposables until the gDiapers fit her. Most likely, we will use these covers and inserts but not continue onto larger sizes after she grows out of the small size. gDiapers leak. We tried them when they were too big, just right and now maybe a little too small. They leak no matter what. the leaking is NOT a sizing issue, nor is it a placement issue. We've adjusted them in every way imaginable and they still leak.I always must use two inserts to insure less leakage. I mean, I even tried changing her on the hour with one insert and it wasn't full proof by any stretch of the imagination.Poop always gets everywhere! And she doesn't have huge "blowouts" very often. Regular every day little poops leak on to the plastic liner. The liners stain easily. We've sprayed them with our hand held shower sprayer and it doesn't come off! That's a pretty powerful sprayer! The quality of the covers are the most disappointing. The Velcro on some of them lifted off the cloth in just ONE washing. The little "g" started coming off the cloth in just a couple of washings as well. We paid almost $20 a piece for these covers. I don't mind paying that much for a small piece of cloth, but it better be good quality. It's frustrating. The only thing I can think of is that they want to get their money up front for the investment and charge a fair amount for the inserts. Well, that's fine, but they should make sure the are of good quality. Knowing what I know now about the covers, they are worth 5 to 10 dollars each at the very most!I like that they are enviro friendly, but we'll be trying another brand now as she moves into a medium size.

These diapers work well, and I like that they are environmentally friendly. However; I was disappointed when I did the price comparison. They are more expensive than disposables:o( If you go with the cloth insert and skip the disposable insert, it would be a good value. Have not tried the clothe inserts as of this time.

Tried these diapers due to problems with reactions to the chemicals in disposables.

Comments about gDiapers Biodegradable gRefills - Case of 4:

I LOVE gDiapers. If you've tried them and they leak, you are using the wrong size. They are supposed to be a little tighter around the waist than a regular, plastic diaper. I've used them for over a year now, and I could not be happier - especially since I don't have bags and bags of plastic waste being thrown into landfills every week. I hope that these continue to catch on and they become the norm - seriously, pampers and huggies need to realize that they have a dated product. Even if you don't care about the "green" factor, they are seriously cute. I love having my little one run around in her gPants. People always ask me what I have over her diaper because they can't believe a diaper can actually be that cute. And now the big brands come up with a "jeans" diaper - ew. Plastic jeans. If you want cute go with gDiapers.

            Love, love, love.

It's wonderful that these are biodegradable - finally an eco-friendly diaper that is not cloth (I work full-time and, unfortunately, do not have the spare energy to wash a million cloth diapers a day if I don't have to). They are also super cute. My children both had great skin and were not prone to diaper rash, so I cannot comment on that. On the downside, they are quite expensive (not more than other more greener diapers are), and are somewhat prone to leaking if poops are messy (there were many times I have had to wash the liners multiple times daily). I have resolved this by using a greener disposable as an alternative when my baby has episodes of frequent messy poops. The inserts are prone to bunching at the crotch when worn overnight - this has not been a major problem for us. And sometimes the diaper has left depression marks on my daughter's skin when I remove the diaper, where the snaps that hold the liner in are. I would never DARE flush the insert - they are rather bulky and I don't believe for a second that they would not clog my plumbing system. Overall, I feel the pros of them being eco-friendly outweigh the minor misgivings I have about them and I'm satisfied enough to keep using them until a better system comes on the market.

We wanted to like these diapers because they were more environmentally friendly than pampers/huggies etc. We tried them for a few months when our second child was born, however, the cover was way too big and flushing clogged our toilet despite following the instructions for "tearing and swirling" which was also a bit too intimate with all the pee and poo. We also didn't care for the plastic liners which never really got clean and still require the use of chemicals to manufacture. We recently started using Bambo Nature and love them! They are 100% natural and biodegradble inside like gdiapers but are fully disposable. We get them at [@]

When I was pregnant for Lyric, my second child, I wanted a green alternative to landfill clogging diapers. I started researching and found g Diapers and I am so thrilled with them. I love that they are soft and cute and that they aren't full of chlorine and that I can toss them in my compost or flush them so my house doesn't stink like yucky diapers.
I love when I change her in public because everyone asks me "What kind of diapers are THOSE?" and I get to tell them how they are an earth friendly diaper and that we love them and use them all the time. They are easy and convienent and I can't quit raving over them!

I thought these worked really well. I haven't had a leak with urine yet. I thought it soaked up a lot, but you still need to change more frequently than a disposable diaper. The poop can leak onto the liner a little, so you have to make sure to catch it in time. I did the math and with using these, it's a little pricier than just using disposables. It's worth it though if you like the concept and their look of the gpants. Overall, a good product!

ALthough I have never tried any other brand, I am very satisfied with Baby G diapers and inserts. I do wish they were a bit more absorbant. Especially for that breastfed infant BM that can tend to be very wattery. That is the only thing I see leaking. For the urine it absorbs and holds it in fine even while she slept for 4 hours!
