I should of listened to the reviews! My baby is 3 months...with a normal size head! I got him 6 months and it barely fits! I put it on him for 10 minutes and noticed it was snugged, when I took it off poor guy had line across his forehead...Im returning this item! Too expensive for a baby hat to just let it go to the back of the closet! PS...the hat and colors are beatiful! Just wish sizes were more accurate!

I ordered this hat in the 6 month size for my baby girl who just turned 4 months old. She is very average on the growth chart. I was so happy when I received it - super cute, very soft, seems warm, nice quality. When I tried to put it on my baby girl, it wouldn't even start to fit on her head. Waaaay too small. I ordered the 18 month size and got it today. It is snug, but fits and will hopefully work for a few months. Great hat, just order a few sizes up!

I ordered the 12 month size for my 7month son and it would not even pull over the top of his head. (I will note that he has an average sized head according to medical growth data). I still LOVE this hat, but I gave it to a family member with an infant. The hat itself is great. I love it. But the sizing was way off.

I love this hat! ADORABLE & SOFT! Looks so cute on - So much cuter than all those character hats!! I am so bummed that it didnt fit. My daughter is 20 months & the 24mo was too tight. Def order UP at least one size!!! LOVE IT :)

Seriousley small. We ordered the 12 mo size for our 7 mo old based on the other review and it fits like a mini-hat resting on top of our boy's head (and I'd say his head is perfectly avg). Don't bother.

I ordered the 6 month size for my 6 month old and it fits more of a newborn size. So I exchanged it for the 12 month size and it still barely fits. I love the hat so I will exchange once again for the 18 month size so just be aware that it runs VERY small. My daughter also measures on the smaller side and certainly fits in 6-12 month sizes.
