If you have a baby/toddler who throws stuff from the high chair walks around with a sippy cup this is no for you. I am on my 2nd cup and this one is on its last handle because my son throws it from the high chair and it cracks and breaks and then starts to leak because the crack gets bad. This sippy cup does not leak but its not durable at all probably best for a 5 year old.

Our little one needed to start drinking more fluids per our doctor because of constipation but wouldn't take a bottle. I started with sippy cups - tried at least five types and all he did was chew on them, not drink. Also, he couldn't sit up yet while tipping the cups to get water - so they didn't work. I thought a straw cup would work since he could lean his head down to drink instead of tipping the cup in the air. He figured the zoli bot cup out quickly!!!

A few days of praise from mom when sipping through the straw and removing the straw the few times he tried to chew on it and he figured out that it's for drinking and not chewing. The good thing about this is that you can close the top to bring it in a diaper bag and the weighted straw. Also, the straw has a valve type opening so that the baby isn't overloaded with fluid when they sip.

My son's speech therapist was really impressed that he figured this out and apparently straw cups are good for speech development - so if your child is getting therapies, ask your therapist for advice too.

I haven't had any of the leaking issues between the area where the cup and top connect like other reviewers claim but the straw part does leak a bit if theres fluid in it when you try to close the top or when baby shakes it around a lot.

Overall, I'm sooooooooo happy we found a way for our little guy to get more fluids. He really does love this cup - he reaches for it and oohs and ahhs when he sees me bringing it to him. He learned to drink multiple ounces at a time from it within just two weeks.

We have been using this cup for my little one for four months and he loves it. It is easy to clean and does not leak at all. The liquid comes through the straw at the perfect speed - not too fast and not too slow. The weighted ball feature that follows the drink is awesome.

We have 18 month old twins & have been using these cups for months. I love it! I saw lots of poor comments about leaking. The only time it leaks if the top is put on incorrectly. We only use with water so if I'm in a hurry its not a big deal if it does leak but if you test is and rethread it, it's fine. User error is the complaint not the manufactures fault. Buying more!

I had high hopes for this cup, but it's hard to put together, hard to clean the straw part, hard to take apart, and it totally leaks!!! I threw it away after a week or so. So bummed!!!

The weighted straw is genius but this cup leaks! After about three weeks you have to be very careful about putting the lid on. If you don't get it on just right the cup leaks, and leaks, and leaks. It may even appear that the lid is on correctly and the cup still leaks. I honestly don't know why the company hasn't pulled this particular cup off the market to redesign the cup and lid.

I have 5 of these cups because my daughter transitioned to them easily at 6 months - that's the great thing about them and why I didn't give 1 star, they're easy to drink from. They're fine for water but creates a geyser of milk from the straw because there is no place for air to escape. This gets worse the longer you use the cup. I called the company and they replaced the straws (which was generous) but it didn't improve. A friend of mine had the exact same problem. We eventually switched to the no-spill Nuby with straw, so much better. (Just don't get Super straw, extremely hard to suck from.)

i hate this cup and i'm so mad at myself for purchasing 5 of these for my 2 kids, 2 orange, 1 blue, 2 pink - i have a boy and girl. i like the weighted straw so they can get pretty much all of the liquid out. but, as previously stated by other reviewers, it leaks 2 ways. first, if the top is not screwed on just right, the cup leaks when tilted by your child. great. second, when the top is securely screwed on, the siphon action is engaged and liquid literally travels up the straw and drips or sometimes squirts out the top. either leak makes a mess that needs cleaning up. i just want to give my kids something to drink and the added chore of clean up the floor, clothes, etc is just beyond frustrating. this to me, negates the positive of the weighted ball. i wish i could return all of them.

I've never spent time reviewing anything, but I feel the need to do that on this one. We got six of these cups for our twins and they ALL LEAK because the tops do not screw on correctly more than half of the time. They leak and leak and our toddlers have slipped on the milk on the floor so many times. It's absolutely frustrating. Look for other straw cups. These are not worth getting.

We have one in every color for over 6 months and we have never had a problem with them. I clean the straws out with the brush that comes with the replacement straws. We have had to replace the straws in the beginning because I wasn't cleaning them well enough. But once I started using the brush, they've stayed clean. I've never had the weights break. It only took two weeks to move him off bottles/breast to these cups - and what's great is it's a straw cup, so no weaning him off a sippy spout.

My seven month old loves this cup. We tried the non-straw sippy cups first but he had trouble tilting his head all the way back to drink anything and sucking with the valves that go in those kinds of cups. We tried this straw sippy cup and he was able to drink out of it in the first try. He is so excited to drink water now and he no longer experiences the frustration he had with the other sippy cups. The cup is easy to clean and easy for him to hold on his own. This sippy cup has made drinking without the bottle possible for my son. I don't know what we would do without it.

I bought this for my now 1yr old when she was 6 - 8 months old. She loved the cup from the day one and was able to use it immediately. What amazed me the most though is how durable this cup is. It has been thrown so many times, hardwood floor, concrete, tiles, etc. etc. It just does not break!! There is a trip to screw the top properly though. Unless the top is "Properly" placed, it will leak but we, adults should be able to figure that out no problem. I was skeptical about this purchase because it's expensive but has 3 stars on this website but so glad we tried. We now have two of them and use it everyday. Another thing is the mechanism of the cup with the weight at the bottom of the straw allows your baby to angle in any direction but still get the water out as long as there is enough water in the cup. I am very pleased and wish this was available for my first baby too!! 1 con is it's not easy to clean the straw but you can with the brush:)

First, I really write reviews but was very surprised to see our favorite cup get such bad reviews. This cup doesn't leak; (We had one accident, but it doesn't generally leak at all).

Do you know, as an adult, how if you drink out of a certain container- you drink so much more water that day? This is the kiddie version of that! My son drinks so much milk/water out of this; and all the way down to the last drop- thanks to the cool straw! It's fantastic!

(It's much better than the adorable Lola cup- sorry to say- because it fits into cup holders and it's a smarter design.)

My only downside is that my son bites the straw, so we have to buy a replacement straw now...which is on back order. Ugh.

This cup is the best!

This was the first cup I bought my daughter based on a recommendation from a friend. She loves the cup and can easily drink from it wether she is laying down or sitting up. We haven't had any problems with the straw or with it leaking (except when my husband didn't tighten the lid once).
