      • Learning about opposites has never been more fun - or funny - than with this winning board book. Yummy!

Spaghetti is yummy, but worms - and blue crayons, and sand, and other things too gross to mention - are definitely yucky when tasted. Amiably illustrated in a bright, graphic style, Leslie Patricelli’s spirited board book, YUMMY YUCKY stars an obliging, bald, and very expressive toddler who acts out each pair of opposites with comically dramatic effect.

          Comments about Yummy Yucky:

My son LOVES this book. I make a "Blecch!!" noise every time we read the yucky things (Mommy's coffee, soap, sand, etc.) and he thinks it's the funniest thing in the world. It's a very cute book.

          Our very favorite!

          Comments about Yummy Yucky:

My 2yo loves this book. We used to read "Quiet LOUD," which is also GREAT, at bedtime, then finally realized things would be a lot less lively with "Yummy YUCKY" instead. He loved it as a baby and enjoys it even more now that he can say some of the words. It is also GREAT for "reading" with big sister, because she recites the whole thing dramatically. A plus. I give this plus the other two (Quiet/LOUD and Big/LITTLE) as baby gifts.

          Comments about Yummy Yucky:

I got this for my niece, she's 2 years old and she puts her hands everywhere and then straight into her mouth! She couldn't understand how somethings are meant to be eaten (yummy things) and some are to be left alone,or at least out of your mouth (yucky things). My daughter who's 1 and a half wanted to eat the book(it's strong cartboard) but my niece is a little older and already knows that crakers are yummy and books are yucky!!!

We play a game afterwards:I mention items that are not in the book like shoes, magazines, tangerines and yougurt an she tries to guess wether they are yucky or yummy!
