My son received his first Wubbanub in the Special Care Nursery when he was first born. Unfortunately, the hospital no longer supports the use of them since AAP states "stuffed animals should not be used in cribs". As with any baby product, you have to exercise good judgement. I think these are life-savers!The animal is so small, I really don't consider it a threat. The weight of the animal helped keep the pacifier in my son's mouth when he was teeny. He also loves holding the animal. It's easier to find these in the middle of the night (or anywhere a paci hides) vs a typical pacifier. Can't say enough good things- I buy them for all my friend's new babies now! (Some people complain that they're hard to wash. I just hand wash them in soapy water. Having 4 makes it easy to always have a dry one!)

Monkey with pacifer attachment Is great. My son loves snuggling the soft toy next to his face while soothing himself with the same pacifier we normally use. Great for nap and bedtime.

Introduced this pacifier to my son as soon as he realized he had hands, and he instantly fell in love! He uses the actual pacifier, but also likes to suck/chew on the monkeys limbs, play with monkey, and love on and pet him at bedtime.:) A plus for me is that my son has greater control over his pacifier, and a BIG plus is that it is washable! Just toss it in the wash & air dry.

Used it for my son and then passed it on to my daughter. They both loved it! Durable and so easy to clean! People comment on it wherever we go. Super cute! Some kids love their blankies, my daughter takes her "Monkey" everywhere!

I got this for my three-week-old girl and it's been great! Even though she can't control her arms yet, the monkey is just heavy enough to stay still if I lay it on her chest, so the pacifier stays in her mouth much longer than it otherwise would. I wish I'd discovered these when I had my first baby, when I was constantly helping my son find his binky after he accidentally spit it out. My friend says they get even more useful in another month or do when the baby can actually maneuver the wubbanub herself.

My son loves the brown monkey, we give the monkey to him at nap and bedtime. It is perfect for him to hold and use, or to play with in his crib. One con is that it is not super easy to clean; we found the best method is to periodically wash it in the laundry.

My baby loved this pacifier so we purchased 3. One for the crib, one for on-the-go (diaper bag), and one for grandmas house. I spent so much money looking for pacifiers that my baby liked, and these were it! Interestingly, my baby loved this monkey one because of his tail, she nibbled on the tail as much as she used the pacifier part. They're pricey but worth the money. The down side (at least for us personally) was that we decided to take away pacifier at 7mos as per her pediatrician's recommendation since she informed us of the possible link to the long term pacifier use and speech/language delays. She is now almost 8mos. So how did I transition the pacifier out? We introduced a teething brush and made the toughest decision to actually cut the pacifier tip off and let the baby "discover" her new transitioned and practically useless pacifier (during a time that she tends to not need it badly of course). Eventually she ignored the pacifier and now prefers her new love--the teething brush. When I saw she didn't even bother to pick it up, I then cut out the entire pacifier piece completely and reintroduced it as a mere plush toy which she seems to like (she keeps nibbling on the monkey's tail every now and then). So final verdict? It was not a complete waste of money for us after all of that. Happy baby, happy parents!

We love our Wubbanubs! As a mom of twins, it was hard to chase down pacifiers all day. The NICU nurses recommended these and we love them. My babies didn't start to put them in their mouths themselves until about four or five months...so don't get excited that they can do that as infants. We love them!

I like that it's harder to lose a pacifier w/a stuffed animal attached! And for an older baby, they can hold it themselves. For my newborn, I can tuck the blanket close and keep it close to him. But my child prefers the shaped nipple pacifiers (orthodontic?), these are too easy for infants to spit out of their mouths. It'd be nice if there were a couple pacifier options.

My little one loves this pacifier...it's his favorite by far! It's super cute and everyone always asks where we got it. He loves to hold onto the monkey's hands while sucking and he even holds it when he's not sucking. It stays in his mouth better because he can hold onto it and I love that it's not always falling out! A lifesaver!
