IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRIOR TO PURCHASING WOOMBIE
The concept of the Woombie is for it to be snug so it hugs your baby.
Remember when choosing the right size Woombie for your Baby it needs to fit them, as choosing a larger size for them to grow into, your baby may have too much free movement and therefore will not be effective as a swadlle.

Comments about New Original - Tahiti:

We've finally evolved! After starting with swaddling blankets (do they ever stay swaddled?) to using the SwaddleMe swaddlers (makes any kid look like Houdini with the unsticky velcro), we've finally found our answer to a good night's sleep - the Woombie. I read about Woombies in a parenting magazine and after pulling almost an all-nighter with the baby, I ordered two in a sleepless daze. In just one day, I received both and HIGHLY recommend! I always felt that I was unnecessarily upsetting our baby by working through the SwaddleMe routine of pinning one arm down and then pulling the fabric over and then pinning the other arm down to pull the other piece of fabric over - nevermind the repeat performance if I had to change a diaper after going through all of that! The zipper makes our lives so much easier, especially when you have a middle of the night diaper change. Our daughter also seems more comfortable in this swaddler as well.

Comments about New Original Tahiti Woombie:

This is one of the best purchases I've made and 100% encourage all new parents to buy this day one for your newborn. Most parents concur that young babies sleep so much better swaddled but swaddling is a tricky art. Being a slightly worrisome mom I also feared that when my son accidentally unsaddled himself the now loose blanket was a potential problem because of suffocation. Same was the problem with swaddle-me products, my son could push the swaddle up towards his neck and face which made me really uneasy. This is the unbreakable swaddle and better yet, anyone can do it! Before I purchased this product I wouldn't leave my son with anyone unless they knew how to safely swaddle him and now that's no longer a problem. Just wish I had known about this product with my first baby. Buy it! You won't regret it!!! Also rec. buying at least 2 so that you always have one available if the other needs to be washed. Swaddles get stinky fast because of spit-up.

Comments about New Original Tahiti Woombie:

The Woombie was unfortunately not around for my first two kids. I just had my third baby and was using all the popular swaddle products. As with my other boys, this baby could bust out of the all of them. I heard about Woombie at a mom's group (when he was about 7-8 weeks). Didn't pursue it, thinking he'd eventually get over the wake ups in the middle of the night. And who wants to invest in more baby gear on the last kid? Finally at 10 weeks I couldn't take it. At 5am after consoling him for the millionth time, I was so done. In an angry and exhausted haze, informed my husband, "that's it, I'm ordering a Woombie when I wake up". And I did. The first night he was in it he didn't wake up once! Heaven!! He still wakes up at times and I have to give him his binkie, but all in all I found a big difference with this. Now I'm just afraid of how I'll wean him off. He is 13 weeks and still comfy in it.

My son will startle and wake himself up unless he is swaddled. I started using the woombie and he started sleeping 7 hour stretches at night. Plus, I like to rock him to sleep before putting him down and the woombie makes the transition from arms to crib painless. I wish I had known about this for my daughter!

Comments about New Original - Tahiti:

My little one out-grew her regular swaddles (the kind that pin the baby's arms down) when she was a couple months old so we switched to the Woombie. She loves her Woombies and is now 8 months old and still sleeps in one every time she sleeps. She instantly calms down as soon as we put her in it. I'm dreading having to wean her from it someday, but for now, we love it!Regarding the size issue, another poster said they're too small, and I can't comment on that, but we are still using the medium size for our 8 month old. She's skinny but quite tall and it is still the right size. We have one of the largest size but it is way too big; I had her in it one night and she squirmed her way out to where her waist was in the neck hole.ONE VERY IMPORTANT DETAIL:Get a Woombie with the snap closure, the ones with the Velcro are terrible. If you go to the Woombie website it lists which have the snap closure. The Tahiti and Bubblegum do.

My son outgrew his Summer swaddle and I rushed out to get another one... I found this was tight around his neck. Seems like it could be a good swaddle but not for my son. :(
