We bought all of the "Chan Pie Gnon" collection for our 4 month old after he fell in love with his Sophie. These have the same sound as sophie and made from the same material, but they do not feature all of the different chew features as sophie. The feature on top of the head is really the only place your baby can gnaw this toy (this is why we bought all 3). He still likes to play with them though, so I would still recommend.

I love everything about this little guy except the ear-splitting shrill squeak it makes. My teething son seemed to love it, but even he was a little taken aback at its shrieks. We gave it an hour, but have decided we can't handle the sound of unspeakable crimes being committed in our home.

Large eyes get baby's attention. Soft and easy to hold. Baby likes to mouth the loop and feet and can easily hold the body. Easy to rinse off and dry. The squeaker will stop working if wet but works again as it dries out.
This is very much like a dog toy in sound and feel, so I might be hesitant to buy if I had a dog that was used to this sort of toy.
Pricey for a teether so this one is not leaving the house.

By far my daughter's favorite toy! She loves squeaking Gnon! She seemed to take to Gnon much more than Sophie. She got her teeth around 4 months, so I feel like Gnon's softer texture was more appealing than Sophie's. Gnon was always a hit during playdates with her pals, too! Highly recommend as a shower gift!!!

My 4 month old daughter *loves* this toy- has a great squeeker inside. She also loves the blue, and pink one as well. Get all three!

He LOVES his Gnon! The squeak is annoying as all get out for us, but he doesn't sit there for hours on it. Definitely a favorite toy.

My six month old giggles when I bring out "Le Champignon" as we call him.(looks like a mushroom.) Easy to hold on to and the softest toy for chewing! A squeaky noise that is a touch annoying to us, but he adores--has learned to shake it to make the sound. Highly recommend.

It's cute and fun. My baby is nine months though, so it didn't keep her attention that much. The first time she got it, she was really into it, but it's not her favorite. Love the fact that it's eco and child friendly. I washed it a couple times and it made the sound go away. Careful though because the water somehow gets stuck in the toy and it's hard to get OUT of it...

I love the softness of this product compared to Sophie (yes, of course we own a Sophie too, like apparently almost every other parent on the planet these days), and my 4-month old son seems to really appreciate the difference as well.

Expensive, but you're paying for quality materials (natural rubber, food-grade paint) and the fact that it's manufactured in France.

We picked the "Gnon" design because of the loop on the head, which makes it easier for young babies to handle. The whistle inside it, as mentioned by others, is LOUD. Brace yourself!

I love this! The rubber is made from a recycled tree. The paint is food/plant based, so IF it were to ever rub off, it's not going to be harmful for my baby. He loves to hold the body and bit on the head and then pull it out. He's teething and loves the feel of it. When cleaning, I plug the hole with my finger and wash with warm water and mild organic soap. The only con, is that it's noisy and my dog does enjoy the sound. I wish it didn't make noise, but other than that, it's amazing!!! I chose Chan Pie over Sophia, because her legs were longer and he gags on his fingers, so her legs would be too long for him (5 months old).

We got this for our 3 month old and it quickly became her favorite chew toy. The ring/horn is very attractive to her and she gnaws on it like crazy. Since she loves it so much, it is now my go-to gift for new babies. I think it's better than Sophie!

This thing is so flimsy. The squeaker is really loud. My dog prefers this over my 5 month old. Not very sturdy, don't see how this will help teething. Much smaller than I hoped

I love this teether. Not only is it easy for my little one to hold, but we have lots of fun playing with it together as well. She finds it really easy to hold and loves chewing on the head. Then when she isn't eating it I like to make it squeak and bounce up to her which makes for a very happy giggly baby. On my next order I will be purchasing another one from this set of teething toys. Its also really easy to clean just a quick rinse and wipe down, not that it ever seems to get that mucky considering how much it is used.
