We are on our third one of these humidifiers in five years. Currently we have one in our bedroom and one in the nursery. I let the scale build up a little too much in our first one and it began to make a bit too much noise to sleep through. They plug along and do a great job adding moisture to the air. It is fairly quiet (it does add some white noise) and shuts off automatically when the tank is empty (an awesome safety feature). When you are sick there is a convenient place for adding menthol or little Vicks pads. It does not, like some other humidifiers, leave a spray of scale dust. We have had no trouble with leaks or breakage and we use it every night for a good 5 months a year. It's not pretty or sleek, but it does a great job.

I noticed people talking about cleaning the humidifier being a pain and that you need to do it more often with this one, but cleaning this humidifier is not any more difficult than any other. I would like to note that NO MATTER what humidifier you have you should be cleaning the scale (hard water build up) off the unit and out of the tank once a week with white vinegar. You should also sterilize your humidifier once a month with bleach or hydrogen peroxide. If you do not you can get something called humidifier lung (I am not making this up, Google it!).

You should also be sure, when purchasing a humidifier, that you are buying the correct size for the size of room. A warm mist humidifier will actually make the room feel warmer, but only if it has the right output for the size of room you have.

I love this humidifier. My son always seems like he has a cold and this humidifier really helps. It does requiring some cleaning, but totally worth it. I love using it during the colder months. It's like a little heater when on high. I use the cool mist humidifier during the summer months. But I feel like the warm mist works better than the cool mist.

Product is great. I have two. Only thing is you need to clean it about once a week because of the water build up. I live in Kansas and the water is not good. In Hawaii I didn't have nearly as much water build up and it didn't need to be cleaned as often.

This was easy to use, doesn't leak at all, and has a little spot for putting essential oils like eucalyptus. It's also got a fairly small footprint and is relatively quiet. I think it helped us all during the cold season which is very dry here.

This by far is my favorite humidifier. Bought one for the kids and less than a month later, bought one for my husband and I, too. No expensive and messy humidifier pads. The worst part is the calcium buildup on the heat element which is very hard or impossible to remove, but that happens to every heat element in contact with water where water is hard. If you empty the reservior and open it to dry the element daily (or even every other day) you will not have any bateria issues. This will be our 3rd winter using and I said just this morning we need to get them out again. Helps stop/prevent/lessen sore throats, coughing and excessive dry skin.

I bought this despite reading a lot of reviews about bacteria overgrowth. I haven't had much of a problem with that, though I do notice some brown staining after a few days use. Whether this is bacteria or merely iron/rust, etc (it seems to originate around the heating element) is questionable. Because of this though it does require rather frequent cleaning which can be a pain, but otherwise I have found it to be a good, reliable and satisfactory humidifier.

We have used this humidifier for three years now! It's great! and works like a charm! We enjoy the low or high settings - based on what room we're using it in. The nursery room is smaller, so we use it on low - but the master bedroom is larger - so we use it on high in there. Best humifier ever! We've used our filtered water from the sink - no problems! No doubt - best humidifier. I have recommended this to friends and they have been pleased w/ it as well.

this is an awesome humidifer...so much better than those stinky hard to clean cool air ones...this had made a huge difference in my little girls nose bleeds...we have not had one in the two weeks we have owned this...it never smells bad and I can tell its working!!
