After I filled it the third time, you can here the fan blades hit the walls. On low it's a loud plastic on plastic ticking noise, on high it's just a louder one, when I removed the water container it was quieter but still it had the noise. It keeps my newborn up, so now it is off til I can replace it. I don't recommend this for anyone.

I used this for less than a year, when my baby got sick or suffered from allergies. I thought it worked well, and the low setting created a soft white noise that didn't bother him, and it didn't run out of water during the night. However I did find the reservoir hard to clean, and I've always had difficulty with the reservoir's screw cap getting stuck to where I couldn't open it easily.

[...]That being said, I actually really like this product. I am a huge fan of white noise, so this humidifier is a "two-for-one" as far as that goes. It does the job, and has a pleasant fan sound that helps me sleep and helps my kids sleep. I have one in every bedroom of the house. Cons: hard to clean, have to replace the filter each season, and even that doesn't end up being the best solution. Not sure if that's avoidable, when you're working with water, though! I end up buying a new one about every two winter.I've never had leaking problems - you just have to make sure you keep it level if you move it around.

I didnt purchase this on dipaers.com, but am now on here trying to find another humidifier. This one leaked all over my carpet and there is no remedy. It is such a poor product which is shocking considering it is Vicks, but I will purchase another manufacturer.

It is very difficult to clean this humidifier as the instructions recommend. We ran it all day and the filter never came close to drying out. The filter also was discolored after only 1 night. Not worth the money.

[...] I bought it when my 4 month old son picked up a bug and was really congested. I like that it's fairly small and easy to use. I don't have the leaking problems previously described however I'm not exactly excited about this product. While it is easy to fill up and use, it is a lot louder than I expected. The high setting is extremely loud. The price is ok, but I suspect there are better products out there at this price point.

I did not buy this from Diapers.com. This is not worth the money. The reservoir leaks because the nozzle does not make a tight seal. This leaked all over my carpet. I went to the Vicks website to see how to correct this problem and there was no information on the website.
