You can never be too sure, and this certainly gives me peace of mind. It has helped me get a feel for when I'm ok to feed. The only con is that it takes 2 minutes for the test, and if it's negative then you have to go heat up a bottle, so make sure to start testing before the baby is hungry.

As soon as I wasn't pregnant anymore, I was ready to partake of the adult beverages again. I would just wait until I felt sober to nurse my son. I still felt unsure, so I ordered these strips to see if I was on target. One night I had some wine and then did a little experiment, testing my milk an hour after finishing, an hour and a half, then 2 hours. My milk tested negative after two hours/when I couldn't feel it anymore (validating the system I had already been using). Now I just use the strips for when I feel "borderline" and baby is hungry. I would recommend these for any mom who likes to have a drink semi-regularly. I will probably not order a second box, as now I know that my "when I feel sober" system is okay.
