The only difference between this and the others that I found at a discount store was the "c-section" material strip and the fact that this does not hold after several washes like the others did (lasted only 4 washes). But in terms of compression, the others function the same and the fact that the material holds wash after wash 8 months later, this was out performed. Also the others were much much cheaper, in the range of $10-15 compared to this. It was disappointing.

I like this produc t a lot. After emergency c-section my doctor recommended I use an abdominal binder to help me get around until the muscles healed. The binder worked, but was stiff and would shift around. The C - panty was much more comfortable and almost just as supportive. The silicone is a nice touch and my doctor said it would help with scar healing.
My main complaints are that the leg holes are very tight and can be binding if you have wider thighs. Also it is not that easy to wash so wearing daily will require you to own a couple. The material is not cotton, so if you get hot flashes after birth you may develop a rash if you wear it all they time as recommended. I only wear during day, every other day so I can wash after each use. Also larger pads can be hard to use with this product because it is so tight, but I able to use the thin long pads without much problems.

I just had my 2nd c-section, and I started using this in the hospital with my doctor's permission. It was very helpful to control swelling and made moving around much easier. I started wearing it about 24 hours after surgery. The only downside I found to it was it was not breathable while sleeping at night and made me somewhat sweaty.
Despite that, I highly recommend for anyone having a c-section.
