My wife loves this diaper pail. Her mom bought us the dekor and my wife really didnt like the look. I didnt care, but i did hate unloading it and buying refills. By the time our kid was 1 the pail smelled like a rotten egg all the time.

Needless to say we tossed it. I bought the ubbi as a surprise for my wife who was tired of taking trash out everyday and she couldnt be happier.

We have beem using for 3 months now and its done the job and looks so much nicer that before

While the perfect size, and stylish looks led us to believe we had chosen the perfect daiper pail, the design is fundamentally flawed. When pulling out the full diaper bag, it always catches on the inside rim, tearing a big hole in the bag, leaving you with a stinky mess. We tried various bags, including the Ubbi brand, which were better, but still suffered from the same problem. We wouldn't recommend this to our friends.

This is my baby #4 and I needed to replace my other diaper pails. I decided to splurge based on the premise it won't absorb smell. Wow was I fooled! It is the stinkiest garbage pail ever. I don't put dirty diapers in it anymore because even daily bag changes and copious amounts of Lysol doesn't help the putrid odor that escapes every time it's opened.

We purchased this pricey item in the hopes that it would do what was advertised and contain the smell. It did not. When opened, even when freshly cleaned and empty, it can be smelled from the next room. In addition, we found the bag filled up every few days.
With our wonderful Diaper Genie, we empty it maybe once every 6-9 days and there's not even a smell when it's opened, and it was less than half the cost.

I am on my third child and my third diaper pail. The Ubbi has been my favorite of the three. I have used it both with disposables in the early weeks and have been using it with cloth diapers for several months. I love that it uses regular garbage bag for disposables, having to buy specific bags for my diaper genie and the diaper decor became inconvenient and expensive. A washable cloth diaper bag fits great. It does a superior job of containing odors. It holds a reasonable amount. The color selection is so pretty and I LOVE that I can decorate it with removable vinyl to match my sons room. The Ubbi does come at a premium price point but you get what you pay for. I could see using this through several children, my plastic pails leeched odors and began to smell even when empty towards the end of that childs diaper stage, the steel construction of this pail, I believe will prevent that. Ubbi's customer is top notch! I would recommend this pail to anyone looking for a quality diaper pail.

Pros: It looks great, holds smells in when shut.

Cons: The second, and I mean split second, you open it, the entire room smells like the worst poop smell ever. Eye watering gross. I try to beat my personal record of how fast I can close the lid (which is insanely fast) and the room still fills up with stink. HOW is beyond me. You can smell the poop downstairs. I'm talking one diaper in there from the same day. We empty the pail each day now. We have to empty it outside or else we all gag and the smell would linger for a hour. I sure wish I had the box so I could send this stinker back. I was better off with a regular trash bin.

I used the Diaper Dekor with my first one and ended up keeping it in the bathroom because it had a slight odor and I didn't want her room smelling in the slightest. I tolerated it in the bathroom though.

We got rid of all of our baby stuff thinking we weren't having another one, so the Diaper Dekor was no more when we found out we were having baby #2.

I saw there was a new diaper pail on the market and decided to try it, the Ubbi. I was a little unsure because it doesn't have a foot pedal, but I figured it was more important that it kept the odors at bay. And it does. The lid is very easy to open if you use a light touch...push too hard and it's difficult. I think this is actually a good feature, especially if you have other children (though it does also have a lock so you little ones have no chance of opening). I also love that you can use regular trash bags.

I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because it doesn't have a foot pedal...if it did, it would be perfect.

This diaper Pail looks pretty and good quality. As far as functionality, every time I open the lid to throw in a dirty diaper the room fills up with a stink odor from the diapers that are inside. We change the bag Every day, we clean the inside with lysol Every day, we throw in diapers with pee ONLY ( learned the hard way after the first time we used it with soiled diaper...the worst smell ever like someone died inside)
I am keeping it only because I don't have the box to return it, it looks good and I have a house keeper to deal with this headache... won't recommend it to a friend for the price.

If you want your childs room to smell like poop constantly- order this product. Even if you change the bag out daily, it is permeated into the pail and every time you open it to deposit another diaper the smell fills the entire area. HORRIBLE product. Expensive and does not live up to the hype of other reviewers.

Hesitant because of price, we made the plunge and purchased the ubbi. Solid build, great mechanism and keeps the odors where they should remain. The added bonus is using regular garbage bags instead of the custom ones with other manufacturers.

I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I wanted to love this diaper pail. I ordered it from [@](rather than [@]or Diapers.com) as I didn't think for a second I would want to return it. But I am.Pros: Super cute desgin and made of steel.Cons:No foot pedal ANDYou have to manually open and shut the top. This means that you'll need to take your hands off the baby in order to dispose of a diaper. And you'll have to remember to close the trap door, or your whole nursury will smaell like the contents.Not for me, thanks.Worst of all, [@]doesn't pay for returns. This will cost me $40 to send back. I'll be buying a Simple Human stanless steel can from [@].
