These are ok for your first cloth diaper covers. The velcro wears out quickly, at just about the time when you will need to switch to a larger cover. The material is thin and the velcro customizes to exact fit. Both of these things are great for small babies who don't move much.

I own about 8 different Thirsties wraps and will say that they are my favorite.

Here's how they compare:
They are a lttle slimmer between the legs than Bummis.
They cost less than gDiapers.
They are way less complicated than pockets.

They wash well, have comfortable fabric and I've yet to have a problem with the snaps or velcro.I also appreciate the fact that I don't have to buy 4 or 5 sizes.

I love these because the size adjusts as your kids grow. I have stuffed them differently as the boys get older, using a prefold & snappi when they are small and then with a prefold and doubler when they get bigger. The aplix on mine seems to hold, but we have a side loader washing machine and I think it is less wear and tear on clothing in general, also definately use cloth diaper detergent so they stay waterproof and avoid bleach and the dryer/dryer sheets.

I love these diaper covers, they work so well. While my daughter had several blowouts in disposables and even a few in her gDiapers, she NEVER had one while wearing the Thirsties Duo covers. I used these with fitted diapers, pinned prefolds, and trifolded prefolds (my favorite way to CD). They're so adjustable, I could even put on a super-huge pinned prefold with one or two soakers inside for naps.

I will agree with the other reviewer about the fold-back Aplix tabs not always working... I found that the Aplix does wear out more quickly than I'd like. Also, the tabs do tend to snag the cloth diapers in the wash. But the covers are so economical, that I never really minded replacing them. Even with the washing issues, I found that even my most heavily-used Duo covers would last at least a few months without any Aplix problems. I never had snap issues either... The snap-down rise adjustments held pretty well for us.

I will say that if your baby has super-chunky thighs, they might be better off with a brand that's wider cut (say, Bummis) or in wool covers (which I also love). My daughter had average chunky thighs, and the gussets always seemed pretty comfortable. The gussets are amazing, too... No leaks, ever.

I highly recommend these covers.

I have three children in diapers, and I bought these hoping to transition them back to cloth in an economical way. Although different ages, they are all the "same" size Thirsties wrap, so I bought several colors and hoped for the best. However, the front of the wrap does not extend very far toward the back at all, so there always seems to be a huge gap along the sides. My youngest child needs to use the snaps to shorten the length a little, but those don't hold- they pop right open again! We've also only had them for about a week, and although we secure the aplix during washes, it is already showing wear and not sticking as it should. If that were the only problem, I'd simply have new ones sent, but they just aren't going to work for my kids. The wraps are adorable, but the clean-up is not...
