The best thing about these is how cheap they are, but the design is also very good. The slightly deeper bowls of the spoons than the gerber spoons I bought make it easier for my 13 month old to actually get food into his mouth. The plastic forks don't pierce as easily as a metal one, but I'm less worried about him hurting himself with it. I'm washing and reusing these, rather than using them as true disposables.

We love the Take & Toss line of products. These forks and spoons are the perfect size for our toddler and they are inexpensive enough that we don't worry about losing them. Also like that they are BPA free.

Why does a kid need a fork that doesn't stab? That just doesn't make sense. Infants mouths are too small for the utensils. I am very pleased though that they do not stain and they are easy to clean.

I bought these for my 15 month old and he loves them! He has yet to master complete hand to mouth but is getting there and these are definitely helping.

My 2 year old son loves these utensils. They are light-weight and easy for him to hold on to. He likes all the bright colors, they're dishwasher safe, and I won't be hurt if I forget one somewhere. They're cheap in price but not in quality.

The spoons are great for feeding my 11 mo. old and the size is great for when he can feed himself. Dishwasher safe and durable. Can be used over and over. Can't beat the price and value

I love these spoons; they are cheerful and are used for anything from yogurt to fruit chunks for my 27 month old. they are the perfect size for her hands and mouth. we have been using these with her since 15 months are so when we stopped using the padded spoons (gerber?), and i have just put in an order here on diapers.com for our 4th pack. they are inexpensive and having a bunch of these make it easy to have a bunch to wash and use when out and about.

i know its a bit silly to complain when the package contains MORE things than you need, but honestly, the forks that come with the package are a joke. they should be redesigned to be tiny versions of picnic forks. these can't be used as a fork OR a spoon. my toddler got so frustrated with them; she can't get either pasta or fruit with the tines of the fork. any utility is the "spoon" part of it. i just toss them out and it's really a waste. she uses toddler metal forks with ease.

These utensils are great but why would First Years encourage tossing them out? They're perfectly durable to use over and over without clogging up the landfills. For such a "forward-thinking" company, I'm surprised that they expect consumers to throw these away. 3-stars on the product - there's nothing super special about them.

I purchased these first because there were so many in the package and our spoons and forks seem to grow legs. I love these so much, there is nothing "tossable" about them! They get daily use, and because of the price if we do travel and one grows legs I'm not out a whole lot.

Ps. we have had one survive the garbage disposal as well with minimal damage!

They're great! My son (20 mo.) handles them very well. They're sturdy AND DISHWASHER SAFE! They've even survived a go in the garbage disposal with minimal damage! They're so reasonably priced that if they get mangled or lost...who cares!

I purchased these and their similar baby spoons for eating out and travel, but my son and I both like them better than the "soft bite" type spoons I had purchased for home use; so now we use these exclusively. The only drawback is one that's true of most or all toddler spoons...They come packaged with other cutlery...In this case forks, which my son cannot yet use. I consider these a necessity for any parent.
