Unlike the previous reviewer, I could get water out the spout -- if it made it to the spout. Liquid pours out the rim no matter how careful you are about screwing it on.

I hate to write a bad review, but I thought possible buyers should know that this is not a good sippy cup. I thought at first it was defective, so returned and ordered another, but the second was no good either. Neither my husband or I could suck the water out as hard as we tried. In addition it leaks from the rim. Sorry Winnie.
