      Great Gate

          Comments about Hands Free Gate:

We owned this gate for our first child's room, and it was a must have for our second child's room. The hands free is a must for the parents, and because it takes adult foot pressure to open, your small people can not which helps ensure their safety. It has held up for two years with significant use without any visible signs of wear and tear. And it has also been securely mounted within the door and does not budge.

              Comments about Hands Free Gate:

My husband ordered this gate with our diapers for the top of the stairs because our boy is crawling now. It's sturdy, well made and I feel very safe knowing that it's there. I also just love that I can get through it with no hands. We did have to buy the extension but even with that cost, it was well worth it.

              Comments about Hands Free Gate:

This gate is great! I had been using the cheaper wooden ones that you have to bend down and pull up the handle, but this one is so much more convenient. The only thing I don't like is the squeaky spring (there is an internal spring loaded between the foot pedal and the gate release - it squeaks when the foot pedal is depressed). Even though it says handsfree in the name, you have to pull the gate closed behind you; there is no tension rod to automatically close it after you walk through. Usually I can do this easily with my foot if my hands are full. My four year old daughter could not get it open the first few days, but now she has learned that she can put all her weight on the foot pedal, jump up and down, and get it open. This is ok because I got it mainly for the newborn and for our puppy. All in all I can live with a little squeak for the convenience it provides!

              Comments about Hands Free Gate:

This is the safest gate we've found that works for us. (Our 3rd). We do use it at the top of the stairs against a newel post. The seperate tabs work against the uneven surface.

                Comments about Hands Free Gate:

I have tried many baby gates and by far this one is the best! It opens and closes so easily, so it's perfect for a high traffic area. You don't have to step over it or have free hands to open and close it. It's also very sturdy and looks great. I highly recommend this gate!

                • High traffic areas

                Comments about Hands Free Gate:

Wanted a hands free gate, this works well and installs in a snap however not good for use on a staircase, unless you have very wide stairs. Not enough clearance to operate from the inside of the staircase. Great for room divider. Connects very easily to expansion bracket. Sturdy and looks pretty decent.
