Comments about Care & Safety Two-Receiver 49MHz Monitor:

Wanted a inexpensive replacement monitor for my toddler's room. This works great! It is actually MUCH louder than our other expensive video monitor which we use in our infant's room. Have taken received in basement & outside--works well so far!

Comments about Care & Safety Two-Receiver 49MHz Monitor:

It's nice that it uses normal batteries as well as being able to connect to the mains, but that's really as far as it goes. The static it TERRIBLE and when it doesn't have static the audability is terrible too, just as well I bought it as an emergency back up!

We have a Phillips monitor for our every day use but got this First Years monitor to use at my parents' and in laws' houses. We have found it to be very reliable and easy to use. Great as a secondary monitor or for those on a budget.

Comments about Care & Safety Two-Receiver 49MHz Monitor:

It makes such a loud buzzing noise as a baseline sound that it's pretty hard to tolerate. To hear the baby you need to turn that buzzing up to the point that a light sleeper could not possibly fall asleep. Cheap. This is our second attempt at an analogue monitor and I am returning it. We just purchased a digital and it is much better...finally.

This is a nice monitor. I have been using it for 8 months without incident. I do get static if I have it too close to a charging cell phone.

It was a little static-y at first but I realized that it might be because it was so close together even though in a different room. I just simply pointed the antennae looking part on the monitor away from my room and everything is good. It does have a little buzzing noise, but I like it because I know it's on. But it doesnt bother my sleeping or anything.

It's inexpensive and does the trick. The one drawback is that the receivers tip over easily.
