Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

I don't think a perfect bottle exists. These are durable and long lasting- we used them with two children (first born in 2010). I recommend updating the nipples with each child. Easy to clean. There are steps to putting the bottle together but it goes fast. You get the hang of it. No nipple confusion. Our sons also had colic-- good bottle for colic.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

The main reason I am commenting is because I happen to read someone complaining of leaking. I have used these bottle with my last 3 children. I recommend these bottles to women I help with latch problems. I have never known one of these bottles to ever leak. I have only read that here and heard one mom that was "dr bown crazed" say that. Here is a word of advice...if you everyone raves about something and one person does not..chances are the problem is with the one person, not the product. If you breastfeed and will need to bottle feed...buy this product. You can thank me later.

I have really enjoyed using this product. When so many of my friends who are also first time mothers had difficulties with their children switching back and fourth, I talked to my peditrician and she recommended these. I love them and I don't know what I would do without them.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

These bottles leak bad. I chose these bottles because the nipples were supposed to simulate Mom's nipples. They leak. I tried switching them out with new nipples, etc. They still leak. After having my pumped breast milk leaking out too many times, I switched them out with other brands which do not leak. These bottles are not cheap either! I wrote to the company, they did not reply.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

I have been using this bottle since my son was 2 wks old, and it has been great. My intention was to breastfeed 100% of the time, but had difficulties initially. This bottle allowed me to feed him and not have any problems with nipple confussion. The flow of milk is slower than most bottles, which worked great for us.
Bottle is great but does have an extra piece to clean. Also, it is recommended to change the nipple after three months, at which time all my bottles started to leak. Highly recommend making sure you change the nipple at this time to avoid frustruation.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

My son could easily switch between the breast and different bottles, but we ended up sticking with the Breastflow because I liked how his latch was similiar to when on the breast. I'll admit I thought the Breastflow was gimmicky at first, but I let the clerk at Babies R Us talk me into trying it. I've been very happy with it. There are 4 parts, plus the cap; which isn't more than Born Free or Dr. Brown's. It is BPA-free. If necessary, I can put the bottles in the dishwasher, but we usually handwash. My husband put the nipples (two parts) in the dishwasher once; the outer nipples came out a little cloudy which cleared up after a handwash - it didn't compromise the nipples, but I wouldn't do it again. The bottles are easy for my baby to hold. I did not have a problem with the milk pooling between the nipples. That is the point of these bottles! That is what makes them more like the breast. All you have to do is squeeze the sides to get the milk down before you open the nipple. Use a little care and I've never had more than a few drips spill. They don't leak at all when the baby is using them.

The Negative: After 2-3 months of using the larger size bottles (3 bottles each once per day), I discovered that the inner nipples are all cracked at the top where the hole is. Basically, the hole has expanded. I am really disappointed that this happened because to me it is a quality issue. I suspect it has to do with cleaning them with a bottle brush...but they should be designed to hold up to cleaning! I'm using the inner nipples from my smaller size bottles now. I will now be very careful cleaning them.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

I have been breastfeeding and bottle-feeding breast milk for 3 months. I have used these bottles and the ones that come with the medela pump. My daughter is able to "latch on" to this nipple in the same way that she does the breast. It's amazing, and I read someone else's review that said it was a flimsy outer nipple, and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to do that. You want your child to be able to compress the outer nipple portion the same way that he or she would when she breast feeds. I think the concept is genius and this is the only bottle I've seen that does that. If you are looking for a product that makes it easy to go back and forth from bottle to breast, this is the bottle. The only bad thing is that it has several more parts to clean. Otherwise, I would completely recommend it.

My son has been using these bottles since he's been born. They mimic the motion of breastfeeding so there was not any confusion. The only issue we had was that they can leak if the lid is not fastened just right. There are more components to clean, but it is worth it and only takes a few second more to clean than any other bottle. He has never received an ear infection from using these bottles either! Overall a good product!

I love these bottles. My son does not get gassy and he does not spit up very often. I beleive it is from the double nipple. I have tried other bottles and he does not like them nearly as well. I feel like they choke him. He does not have alot of milk run out the sides of his mouth like I see on other babies, Because he has to work a little harder to get the milk out. he eats till he is full and does not get more than he wants. I only pump and feed him through a bottle. I have been doing this for three months and it works for us. There is a little more to wash but they work great for me.

Comments about Breastflow BPA Free Bottle - 9 oz - 3 Pk:

I did a lot of research on bottles prior to having my now 5 month old daughter. I planned on breastfeeding exclusively until returning to work, then pumping and sending bottles with her to daycare (which I have been doing for about 2 months now). I ended up purchasing the MAM anti-colic bottles which are not available here, as well as the Dex Baby Milkbank bottles. Both of these have been AWESOME.

However, I also decided to buy some of the Breastflow bottles since they can hold up to 9 oz and I read they were good for breastfeeding moms who occassionally give a bottle. Well, I wish I had not purchased them. The dual nipple system is bizarre. I know it is supposed to encourage the compression and sucking that babies use when breastfeeding, but my daughter would get sooo frustrated with the Breastflow nipples. Also, the weird dual nipple chamber traps milk between the two nipples. You can get the milk back into the bottle by squeezing on the outside nipple, but eventually it gets caught back in the inner chamber again. Moms who pump know how annoying it is to lose milk! Finally, the outer nipple is very flimsy and will collapse pretty easily. My daughter is not the most voracious sucker out there, so I can't imagine what a hungry baby with a strong mouth could do to that outer nipple.

The only pro that I have seen is that these bottles are on the thinner plastic size compared to the MAM bottles I use. Thus, they heat more quickly in our bottle warmer. At this point, I am just using the Breastflow bottles to store her milk overnight then warm it in the morning and transfer it to another bottle for "breakfast."
