i was nervous to cut my newborn's nails and the pediatrician recommended this sort of nailclipper. however, i found that the magnifying glass is too close to the nail, which actually makes it more difficult to see. i ended up pushing the glass away and using it as a traditional clipper

i have had other nail clippers but this is the only one that safely works on the first try. Little kids fingers are always trying to get away from you. This nail clipper works without too much pressure but also never hurts my kids.

I never use teh magnifying glass but somehow the one with the magnifying glass is a better clipper than all the others (i own the others as well)

friends told me i had to get the one with the magnifying glass and i thought they were crazy - who needs a magnifying glass - but as they explained - they're just better for some reason - and its been proven true every time i buy nail clippers

I thought the magnifyer was a great idea... if it functioned right!!! I totally echo what another wrote about it being the wrong height/angle. Totally useless. I tried using without magnifyer, and still felt like clippers were bulky and hard to use. I've gone back to my clippers I use for myself with way better success!!

The magnifying glass on this seems like a good idea, but it isn't adjustable so you can only use it from one specific angle. This is impossible to do with a squirming (even sleeping!) newborn or toddler. The clippers themselves on my pair don't seem to be lined up so even using them without the magnifying glass is tough. It takes some careful work to make sure that I'm only cutting a fingernail and then I have to go back and clean up the ragged edges the first cut made. I only gave these a try twice before relegating them to the back of a draw and going back to using my toddler's Safety First nail clippers which are easy to use, accurate and safe.

This product is not a very good one. I recieved this clipper in a grooming kit I recieved for my baby shower. I never used it until reciently because it's difficult to use. The second time I tried using it, the metal part of the clipper came unglued from the rest of the plastic part.

I bought a couple different versions of nail clippers before I had baby. This was the one I kept. The magnifying glass looks ridiculous, but it folds down completely. I never use it. These are VERY comfortable to hold and use, very stable in the hand and are sharp enough to be able to work quickly and cleanly in the moments when your baby is holding somewhat still. I wouldn't use another clipper and have bought a set of these as a shower gift.

These are one of only two popular sets of clippers worth using. These arevery comfortable for adults to grip and they are sharper than most so they clip nails cleanly and easily. The magnifier is also very helpful! Great product!
