We got this floatation device for a recent beach trip with our fourteen month old. The floatie was easy to pack (a little less easy to put back but that is more our ineptitude than the toy itself) and easy to blow up. Most importantly my son loved it and it was totally sturdy enough to let my son sit in it (with us close by) and feel totally independent. We called it is his own island. Your kid needs to be able to sit up and admittedly my son kept putting his head down into one area to drink the water that came through the mesh holes, but it is a great great asset for any vacation. Highly recommend it.

I was hestitant to purchase this float but I am glad I did becasue it is great, double inflatablw rings make it very sturdy plus its a low profile so baby doesnt feel like hew is going to fall out of it but perfectly fits in, also good price. it is made of fabric not plastic which is better for skin integrity.

I like that it's easy to inflate. Because it has a pretty flat profile, my son feels more free and can see more and splash, but he can lean forward too much. I don't think this is a problem because he's too young to be alone in any floating devise.

I bought this for my daughter to use in the pool.
The first time we used it, the bag that contains it broke. I also found the float very hard to deflate properly.

It's ended up in the trash after one use because my daughter didn't like it anyway.

We used this through my daughter's first summer (6-9 months). We used it in normal backyard swimming pools and it was perfect. She floated around with us or between us, was able to splash, play and kick and it apparently kept her feeling stable and safe (as she was relaxed and not crying).

The nice thing about the design is that the space between the two rings gives her enough water to play with and also is a great place to put small toys for her to play with.

Highly recommend this one. It's far better than trying to hold onto a sunscreen greased up baby.

I was searching online for a baby float with a canopy and this product came up in the search. I was concerned that there was no canopy shown in the picture, but another review of this product had made reference to a canopy. I ordered the float and SURPRISE - there is no canopy. Long story short, if you need a baby float with a canopy, this is not the product you want.

I'm surprised to read the review that states this was an easy float to turn over and that the mother had to hold onto it for safety for her child. Maybe she had a defective float or she didn't set it up correctly.

I first saw a friend using this float for her 20 month old daughter. Her girl looked so comfy in it and the canopy (not shown in picture) that comes with the float kept the sun off of her completely! I never liked how the plastic floats "cut into" my son's crotch when he was a baby, so I decided to give this one a try with his (then) 6 month old sister.

It was easy to inflate the two floatation rings and to attach the included canopy. The instructions do not tell you how to seat your baby in the float so the first time we placed her into it, she was pitching forward (possibly what happened to the other reviewing mom?). I realized that the mesh seat was shaped larger on one side to fit the tushy, so we switched my baby around to face the other side and the problem was solved! The way the mesh seat is shaped, it sort of forces the baby to recline when sitting correctly (or pitch forward when facing the wrong side), so the baby is in a very comfortable position. Our little girl just rested her head on the rear of the float and smiled for the entire three hours we spent in the water. No adult had to hold on to the float and she just floated around the pool completely happy.

Now for the physicals: This float folds together when the floatation rings are deflated sort of in a car sunshade style. The canopy, which provides SPF 50 cover, also folds for storage in the same manner. Both fit into the outer carry-case the product comes in. The canopy, when attached to the float, can be positioned three ways - directly over baby, behind baby or in front of baby. The age range for this float is 9 to 24 months, which is significantly wider age allowance than all other baby floates on the market. There is no weight definition given, so I would use your best judgement as to whether or not your baby's weight fits within those age guidelines. For example, my 8 month old baby is the height and weight of an average 12 month old, so I began using it early for her age, based on how well she could sit up, of course.

The only problem I have with this float is that the air is hard to completely remove from the floatation rings, which needs to be done to fold and store the float in the carry case. We just keep it stored fully inflated in our pool storage bench. We will deflate it in the end of the summer for winter storage.

Great buy - totally worth it! I have recommended it to several moms, two of which have purchased one and told me they both love it.

This product is GREAT for the baby pool for a walking baby that you don't want to let go of in the baby pool (that was me and it was back breaking). With this I let my son toddle around on his own in the baby pool. We tried this in the big pool, however, and he could have easily tipped it over - and it was a pain to hold onto. This will be a baby pool product only for us.
