A flyer in this products box states it may stain your seats black if they have been treated or cleaned with anything. I have grey leather seats and am not willing to risk the discoloration. Save yourself some time if you don't have black seats, otherwise this product seems like it would work well.

I have used this mat under a rear and forward facing car seat on leather and it doesn't move and has really helped protect our car. It's the only seat cover that I have found that helps prevent dents and stretching of your cars seat upholstery. The pockets in front are a useful bonus too. I recommend it to all my friends.

This mat works great to protect the upholstery (or leather) while baby is in a rear facing car seat. The only problem is that the seat back is not protected against indentations when used with a forward facing car seat. If the mat covered the whole seat I could give it 5 stars. We really love the pockets in the front and the carseat doesn't slide around on the leather seats.
