Works fine as a placemat. The tray does catch some spills...not all. The suction cups work fine for me, but I've never folded it up and taken it anywhere. I just use it at home.

I love this product. Apart from the normal use at the table, this is great to line the bottom of the kitchen sink during bath time. It gives a not skid surface for their little bums to stick to and it covers the drain stopper so they don't slide onto it. We use ours daily!

I was very exited when I ordered this product to use it to introduce my 14 month old to eating at the table with the family. The picture gives the appearance that it is of the same quality and thickness of the summer bibs that we bought previously and love, but unfortunately it is far from it. It is MUCH thinner and not at all of the same quality. The suction cups do not stay stuck to the table and it will not lay flat because of the creases made by the folding sides. My daughter just pulls it off the table and throws it. It would have been a much better design without the folding sides and without the suction cups. It's silicone so it would cling to the table surface naturally and it would roll for portability. Some mega design flaws here. We may try to salvage it for a travel placemat.

It arrived rolled up and never lays flat. My daughter (17 months now) has been tearing it off the table for months. It never stays on the table the whole meal. The suction cups barely function. I bought a second one hoping that it would work better than the first but I'm starting to give up hope. I pretty much put it on the table at friends' house to create the apprearance that we're trying to respect their tables. Inevitably, I have to put my elbow on the matt just to keep it in place.

we were excited to use this because we thought it would help eliminate the use of all the plastic table liners; however, we were very disappointed! it appeared to be great when we first attached it to the table, but my daughter had meatballs for dinner which stained the placemat permanently, even though we washed it right away. also, after washing it, it was so warped that it wouldn't attach to the table anymore! in theory, it's a great product. in reality, it's just not.

I noticed there was few comments on stains from spagetti ect! use soft scrub cleaner on it and it comes right off but must do it right when u see the stain if its a stain thats been sitting longer use the soft scrub (bleach) this stuff work great! then rinse off in the sink and wash with soap. Hopefuly this will help! Love ,love this product it has prevented so many messes and food on my daughters outfits!

Good for serving finger food to older infants, no worries on dirty tables. Sticks to most surfaces, suction cups are pretty strong. Greatest feature is the wrapping up into a compact cylinder that fits in bag - shake what you can off onto plate/tray, roll it up with rest of mess, unroll and wash at home. A willful baby / toddler can pull up the suction cups, but that's true of any product.

My husband was skeptical when I bought this but it is awesome! We use it eavry time we eat away from home. It gives your baby a clean surface to eat from that's got some traction (so the cheerios don't go flying of a regular table).

The raised design can be a little hard to clean b/c soft food like banana will get stuck in it. You can just spray and wipe off once you're home, but it would be nice to be able to wipe it up while you're out and then not have to think about it again.

It folds and rolls into a compact little roll, which is easy to slide into a side pocket in the diaper bag for portability. The suction cups on the bottom are great for helping it stay stuck to the table, too

Has become completely covered in permanent red stains from tomatoes and tomato sauce within a week of use. It seems that the make up of this product may have changed in the last year, as we had one that we used for a year that only got some faint orange staining from squash.

We have been using this product since our daughter began eating solid foods and it's wonderful. We don't have to worry about what messes might be on the table at restaurants (plus, no worries about using breakable plates), instead we put the tiny diner down and confidently let our toddler eat. We also bring it to friends houses so there are no major messes to clean up. It's easy to clean and portable. We would highly reccomend this product.

I have received many compliments when using this at restaurants with my daughter. Lots of people stop and ask where I got it. It is so great to have something that protects her from the icky table and I love the little "trough" that catches some of what falls. There are a few cons such as the suction cups don't stick very well to wood tables or tables with any type of texture, only smooth ones. And it also only works well with square tables and not round. It can be a little tricky to wash since it's so floppy and awkward but overall it's very handy and makes me feel so much better that my daughter doesn't have to eat off of a public table surface. I wouldn't do it so why would I expect my child to?

This placemat is handy and folds up conveniently for storage. Suction cups keep it in place for babies who like to throw everything on the floor like mine!

We bring this placemat along every time that we dine out with our 11 month-old and it is amazing. It keeps her (sizable) mess contained and I don't worry about how clean the table is, or what kind of chemicals they wiped it with. It rolls up easily and is super portable. It's easy to clean (we just shake it off over a plate at the end of a meal and wipe it with a damp napkin then wash it when we get home) and is very durable. Yes, spaghetti sauce will stain it, but what having to do with a baby isn't stained? You can still clean it. I'm thinking about getting a second one of these just in case to keep in the car. We got our first one as a gift for the shower and it was definitely one of the most useful things we got. Thumbs up!
