Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

This is not just great for wide doorways but also hard to fit ones. We had an opening at the top of our stairs that had drywall on one side and a railing that stuck out too low for most gates. We literally bought and returned 3 gates before buying this one.

As you can see in the photo we only used two of the three provided panels. Great flexibility!

Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

We're using two Sure & Secure gates to create a 12 ft sq space in our living room; plenty of room for 9m and growing twin boy and girl. The gates are great! Only complaint is that one arrived with a piece broken off. Yay super strong glue.

Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

Unfortunately, the gate didn't quite stretch the promised length. We've been able to solve the problem by building a post for it to attach to, but I'm afraid as the baby grows and becomes stronger she could easily topple it over as it isn't attached directly to the wall. So, good for separating the dogs from the baby in the short-term, not sure how useful it will be in the long term. Apart from the length issue, it does seem to be of good construction.

Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

We bought this to seperate our living room from our kitchen. We only needed one of the panels. It is easy to use and keeps my daughter out of the kitchen. The only problem was the foot on the panel (close to the gate) would slide quite a bit on our tile which made us question the stability and longevity of the gate. My hubby made a quick trip to the hardware store with the spare foot and came back with two rubber chair grips that you would slide over the bottom of your chair legs to keep them from sliding. The grips fit perfectly inside the bottom of the foot of the gate and it no longer slides around. The fix cost less than two dollars. My only complaint is that the manufacturer could have forseen this problem as many people do not have carpet. I think for the price we paid for the gate, they should have included some kind of gripping option for the feet of the gate. As for the rest, I am very pleased with the gate.

Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

Finally!! A gate that is wide enough and has a flexible configuration! I have been going nuts trying to block off our entry hallway which includes stairs going up and an entry into a sun porch with one step down. After buying two gates and returning them, I realized I needed an extra wide one to block off the whole area from my eager to explore 1 year old. The fact that I can bend this gate into basically an L shape opened up even more possibilities for me.

The gate door is in the middle, with a long panel on either side. You can bend each panel to any angle since it hinges to each side of the gate. I have one piece wedged between our sofa and hall table, and the other wedged between the wall and a small bench. The set up is sturdy enough that my son can't bring it down, so we bypassed screwing the panels into the wall.

The gate is very easy for me, and my 5 year old can also get in and out. Because we don't have the gate in a straight line, closing the gate door takes a little finessing (maybe 30 seconds) but it is SO worth the flexibility I have in setting it up the way we needed it. Instead of two gates, one blocking the stairs and another the sun porch (and trying to help my 5 year old every time), this gate allows me to block off the whole entryway area of my house. I absolutely love it. The gate is worth the money!

This gate is perfect for wide openings. I am using it in a an opening a little over 7'. My 9 month old pushes on it and the mesh doesnt give.I do wish it was a bit more solid just for my own peace of mind. However, I have no complaints. My 6 year old has no problems figuring out the lock on the gate. I was a bit hesitant to buy this gate because of some of the reviews I read but I am glad I ordered it anyway. The neutral color is great too! We have had several friends over who have commented on how nice it is. I would recommend this gate.

I enclosed 2 rooms with these gates. They are easy to install (4 screws on each side), and open and expand just like described. The doords open /close easily too. They are very sturdy - but obviously has a little "give" in the middle. These are perfectly functional and terrific gates. They are life savers! My 10mo old can stand and hold onto them without any worries. Thanks!

This is the only gate I have found that fits a very wide opening. It is also removes easily from its hardware so we can put it away when we want the space to be open. It has withstood an almost-walker tugging on it and two dogs running into it. Very satisfied with this product.

We bought this gate to separate a playroom for our child away from the dogs. It was actually too small for our 15-foot opening, but we just built wooden braces into the studs coming out a few inches and hinged the gate from there. It is very well constructed, easy to use one-handed, and we could not be more pleased.

Comments about Sure & Secure Custom-Fit Gate:

As we needed an extra wide gate - one that fits an 8 foot opening, we decided to get this one since it looked nice in our room and had a swing door that we can walk through. It is also at a good height for a growing child. However, when we got it, we couldn't get it to fit. Because our area is 8 feet, we are stuck between using only 2 panels or using all three. We can seem to condense it enough to use all three panels and we have about 6 extra inches to cover to use just two. Anyway, we got it up finally, but it just buckles and is crooked and pulling out of the wall. Because it costs so much and wide gates are hard to find, we are trying to make it work, but we are seriously considering returning it. At least Diapers.com is really helpful in allowing us to see if it will work before possibly returning it. As the other customer just commented, we have the same model. What model did you have?
