I was looking for gates that were pressure mounted. So I clicked on 'pressure mounted' gates in the search on the left side of the page. This gate came up. I was in a rush to order, so I assumed that the diapers.com description of PRESSURE MOUNTED was correct. Sadly enough, it was not. I now have to cram it back in the box and haul it to a UPS shipping point. Annoying!

We needed a gate to help keep our daughter out of the dog's area (she likes to dump out their water dishes all over the floor!) It looks great, there are no area's where my daughter can get her fingers pinched & it's very secure, when she shakes back & forth on it, it doesn't move. I'm very happy with this purchase.

We just renovated our house and needed a gate to fit a 64 inch opening. We have two kids - a new born and 13 months - so we needed something very sturdy and secure to keep the little ones in. This gate was perfect. It took my husband about 90 minutes to install - not hard, but if you want to do it right, it will take awhile.

Calling this a "stylish" gate made me laugh when I saw the caption, but now that we have it in our house I have to agree. It looks great, and the arch really does add a touch of class to the overall look. My husband was able to install it with no problem and we're very happy with it. It's pretty easy to operate with one hand and it's also relatively easy to step over as well.

We are currently using this gate to separate the dogs from the baby. It is of good construction, easy to remove/reattach, relatively easy to latch and nice looking.

Perfect for keeping children and pets contained where you want them. Very easy to install. Very sturdy. Yes, the color is not a bright white but it is still very stylish and would go with any decor without it looking like its a child gate. Excellent price and delivery was very fast! We needed an extra long gate for the entry into our living as our 7 month old now crawls and likes to explore other rooms of the house. I bought this gate because of it's length and because it had a door way to walk through.

It was very simple to put together by myself and it's very sturdy. A lot of reviews stated it was tricky to open and close the door, sure on the first try it was. But once I realized you have to lift up the door to open it and close it properly it's no longer tricky. In fact due to the way the door does open it's a lot more secure then some of the other baby gates I've looked at and purchased because it locks at the bottom and top.

I'd also like to note that where you put the screws to attach the extra extending gate parts there are plastic covers that go over the screws on the top and the bottom of the gate so you don't have to worry about the screws falling out and the little ones finding them and chocking on them. Also I think they just add to the sturdiness of the gate overall.

This gate is fantastic and well worth the cost!

I do not recommend this product. With it being metal I expected alot more sturdiness. The plastic parts that attach to the wall strip out very fast. The metal bars detach from the frame (poor welding I assume) very easily.The only place I can think that this may work is in a non heavy traffic area in your house. The only pro is it does look nice when installed. If it were put together better and stronger I may think other wise.

Even the opening that I have is 3.7 feet, we couldn't install the gate. We couldn't find a way to make it work.

The gate looks strong and well constructed, just didn't work for us.

Instruction are not clear, you have to read it a couples of times (the same with the Kidco gates that we bought)

We have this gate mostly to keep my 18 m/o daughter out of the kitchen. I have a 4-year-old who I'm sure could open it if he wanted to but knows better. My only real complaint is that it's not easy to open with one hand. We've had it installed a week now and I'm getting better at it but it takes getting used to. As you open the gate, you have to lift it to open and close, which can be a headache if you're chasing children. But, overall, we are pleased.

I'm on my second child and I have learned not to waste money on cheap gates; they break.

We purchased this gate to close off an area that wasn't even really a doorway, more of a wide hallway, from my mobile baby.

It was not too difficult to install and I can see the design compared to other gates we have used is good. It's very sturdy despite being pretty wide and I'm not worried about it getting pulled out of the wall. It is also very nice looking. It's not too hard to open (though my four year old cannot do it by herself, some other children her age probably could.)

My one con is that the gate doesn't close easily. The gate door must be in exactly the correct position for the latch to engage and I usually have to fiddle with it for a second to make it click right. Opening it is not a problem.

I would definitely recommend it.

I have a large 56" arch and needed to keep my toddler away from our living room which is not child-safe. This worked out beautifully and was very easy to install. Looks great and works like a charm. The color is not pure white, but is creamy white.

I needed a gate that was 70"wide and this worked great! It keeps my crawling 8 month old from getting into things in the non baby proofed area of the house. It is easy enough to open w/ one hand and for my 4 and 7 yo to open by them selves.

I wanted a pressure mount b/c it is hung on drywall and plaster, so I had to use my own hardware to hang as the plaster/drywall plastic mounting screws included were not enough, I had to use hammer drive metal screws to keep it hung good.

It was easy enough for me to assemble w/o my husband...then again I am better at building things than him :)
