I use this as a general barricade rather than an enclosed pen for my increasingly mobile 9 month old. Currently it stands guard in front of our wood stove and extends in front of the television/entertainment center. It folds easily enough and is able to form a variety of shapes/configurations, and so far is sturdy enough for our baby to pull on the sides without knocking the whole thing down. I haven't utilized the gate feature, so I can't comment on how well that works. I do look forward to using this outdoors come spring!

We purchased this play yard to make a barricade to keep our twins from pulling down the wood plantation blinds down on their heads. The play yard worked as described and we even bought a second set, it has worked well in our situation. I would recommend this play yard if you want to keep little hands off of certain things.

We purchased this product so that the Christmas tree will be safe from our children and our children safe from the tree. While not an attractive decor, it has served its purpose. The unpacking and installation took seconds. Since the product doesn't anchor on to anything, and it's not heavy, our 1 y.o has been able to push and move the play yard. Because of that, I'm not sure I would feel comfortable using it as a play yard. Our child was able to push on the panels and change the shape of the play yard (maybe we didn't tighten the locks enough?).

Having said all that, we will definitely use this product again as a means to keep things safe for and away from our children and would recommend it for that purpose.

Although the pieces are easy to put together I found it a pain to open and close the "gate". The gate itself is not hard to open but it does not "swing" open like I had thought. When opening the gate section you are unlocking it and moving the section and section attached. I would have rather the gate connect to sections be stationary and the gate itself swing in either direction.

As far as putting it together it is not hard but it is not something that you can just grab and go if you wanted to take it with you unless you bring tools.

We also found the product works better if not in box shape but in hex shape. If child leans on section in box shape they seem to give.

I got this item because my regular play yard was getting to small for my baby. I gave it only 3 stars because it is not very stable and when the baby tries to get up it is not sturdy. the regular play yards have soft material all around so if the baby falls they would not hurt themselves. This item is more for toddlers than for learning to walk babies. the inside walls are ruff so if the baby slides against the wall it would not be a soft lending. I will keep this item because it will be handy later on but in my opinion this is not for small babies. I would recommend it to a friend but i would tell them to get it when baby can walk well.

This is sturdy and effective. My one year old is crawling and cruising, getting into everything. This play yard allows me to keep an eye on him while he plays safely so I can do dishes and other chores. It folds up compactly and is easily stored in a closet or garage.

This is a great gate, especially for the price. It compacts well. It's really long and tall. Easily blocks off a large area. It keeps the dog out of the kitchen and my crawling toddler off the tile. I'm sure we'll use it to block off the Xmas tree next year as well.

My only complaint is that one end of the gate doesn't bend open and closed like it should. It's not worth my time or the hassle to try to exchange it though. Still functional as is.

This playyard is great. It's heavy but well made. I love the door that you can open for easy access. It's also nice and high on the sides. While it's difficult to lean into you don't have to because of the door. I like the height because I can see it working for longer plus it's harder to throw toys out of.
