I really love these swaddlers. They are much easier to use than blankets. My son rarely gets free of them, as opposed to blankets which he broke free from regularly. Being swaddled in these calms him and allows him to sleep soundly. This cotton knit is a good summer swaddler. (We have a fleece one for colder weather).

I have a few minor complaints, though. I have these swaddlers in Small/Medium and Large sizes. Small/Medium is supposed to fit up to 14 pounds (I think), but I could barely squeeze my son into it at just under 12 pounds. This would be ok, except that there is no such thing as an actual size Medium. And the Large is still a bit too big on him. So right now he is 13 pounds and I have to put him in a large and wrap it around him as tight as I can to try to get a snug fit (because if it's loose, it's dangerous--obviously).

Also, I had a heck of time trying to find these in the Large size. I only found them here in blue. I was hoping to get gender neutral colors/patterns, which are more abundant in the Small/Medium size, but all I found in Large was blue. Wish there were more options.

The other complaint is the Velcro closures. I don't know if it's possible to make these with any other type of closure though, or if other brands have something other than Velcro. But in order to keep baby snugly swaddled, the Velcro fasteners are strong (understandably), so that rrrrrrriiiiipping sound always jars my baby rudely awake. Just an observation.

Overall, though, these function GREAT and are a great value for the money. I would recommend!

We love the Summer Infant swaddlers for helping our baby sleep longer. They're easy to use and faster than using a swaddling blanket. My only complaint is that they do start to fall apart after being washed a few times... the velcro starts losing its power and the seams start to wear. Hand-washing would probably help (but who has time for that?). We do line dry them, though, in an attempt to lengthen the lifespan.

Love the design. Swaddle blanket is a must-have for a newborn. But, the fabric is cheap and there is a small hole in the back after the first wash. Also, I feel that it runs small. I bought small/med and its already too tight on my 10 week old. I have this Ame blanket made by another brand and the material is much better

My baby moves around quite a bit when we swaddle him and tends to wiggle out of the swaddle with other products but, not this product. The velcro clasps are great! Our baby stays and sleeps peacefully. This product is also great for anyone that prefers not to fold large square blankets into the swaddle fold. My husband wasn't that great at the swaddle fold so these were perfect becuase they are made so that you get a perfect swaddle everytime...no folding, no hassles!! The diaper change opening is great too. No need to remove the entire wrap to change a diaper. Just take the baby's legs out of the bottom half for the diaper change and put them back in when you're done! The velcro clasp allows you to secure the bottom half back just as securely as it was before the diaper change.

Great swaddling blanket. Received a few different ones and this, recommended to me by a friend, is by far the best. My daughter is not huge, but my she can wriggle and this is the only blanket that stays on all night. She still manages to get an arm out sometimes, but it stays pretty secure.

The velcro is rather loud and disturbing. (For some reason the neutral coloured cotton one of these has louder velcro than this one.) That's my only complaint, but the velcro works!

This is pretty fabric too - I love it.

I didn't use this at first (DD was only 5lbs so this thing swallowed her!) and actually gave it to a friend who had a baby a few months after me. Well, now I'm KICKING myself b/c I finally moved DD to her bassinet (instead of sleeping all cuddled up in her bouncer for 3 months - I know, i know) and there's no way she would sleep through the night without being swaddled!
Thank goodness my sister passed her Kiddopotamus on to me- I dug it out and wrapped up my baby girl and we SLEPT! Oh it was magical. I'm only bummed b/c the hand-me-down I have is a boring yellow and I miss my cute ladybug print... so now I'm buying two more of these because I love them THAT MUCH!

I LOVE this blanket!!! I will admit that I have spoiled my daughter and she loves to be held when she is sleeping. So, I got this blanket out and decided to give it a try. I will swaddle her up before we begin rocking so I don't wake her up by putting her in it after she is asleep. I call her my little burrito when she is in this blanket. She will sleep through the night when I use this blanket, and nap for several hours with this blanket. It is great if you want to get some sleep! I also like the fact that she can't wiggle her way out of it & we don't have to worry about taking the blanket and covering her face with it. I have this light cotton blanket but also a heavier fleece one; I use the fleece one when she may fall asleep in her summer play clothes which is currently a onesie & socks. The fleece one has velcro but it doesn't seem as loud.

My infant started using this at 6 weeks. Up until then, she was not sleeping through the night. We bought a Swaddle Me upon recommendation of a family member, who said that as soon as she placed her Baby in the Swaddle Me, her little one began sleeping through the night. Well, my husband and I were tired of being sleep deprived, so we thought we would give it a go. The first night we placed her in the Swaddle Me, she slept for 6 HOURS STRAIGHT. To say I was ecstatic was an understatement! We swear by this product, and have even bought the next size up just in case.

This is a great swaddle blanket. It takes the guess work out of swaddling. It's great because it has velcro, so baby can't wriggle all the way out. This is the only brand I found that has a large size for a bigger baby. My baby is 2.5 months and sleeps through the night with the swaddle blanket. The biggest con is the type of velcro they used because it makes a very loud noise when you undo it. But if you just make sure the blanket is laid out and ready before you rock baby to sleep, this isn't a problem.

My little boy is a squirmy sleeper. These SwaddleMe's were excellent when he was younger and weaker. However, now that he's stronger, he can bust right out of these quickly. We had to switch to the Miracle Blanket and Miracle-Blanket-like rigging of his SwaddleMe's using an extra, plain-old swaddling blanket folded long ways (just fold in half and in half again and lay on the floor on top of the SwaddleMe. Tuck one side over baby's arm and under his back, and do the same with the other side and then SwaddleMe as usual.)

Maybe it's because his parents are also good sleepers, but my baby has slept relatively well during his naps and through the night. I'm still swaddling my 7 month old in this. In fact, I should buy a larger size.

I've always swaddled his arms in nice and tight. We called it baby prison. As a newborn, he squirmed out of his swaddle and could not control his hands and arms. He would wake himself up. It didn't work if it was a sloppy swaddle.

Now, it seems to serve as a sleep cue to tuck him into this little sleeping bag. He doesn't need his arms tucked in anymore, but sometimes he still likes it.

The fleece worked better because the fabric was less stretchy. He was less likely to squirm out. He does get sweaty though.

Great for its purpose. Found the fleece ones caused overheating. Flannel ones a good choice for in between. Only thing I'd change would be to make them longer--I'm having to order the next size up so my daughter has enough room (she is 50% in height)

I bought this for my son to keep him extra cozy and warm at night. The fabric is soft though very light and isn't going to make much of a difference in keeping him warm. plus not all babies like to have their arms tied down. its good if your child likes to be swaddled but ideally this needs to be made with more of a fleece comfy fabric as opposed to a lightweight one.
