This is the first video monitor I had and I LOVE it!! We needed another one and my husband got a motorola one that was not near as convenient and as many features.I have given this as gift multiple times and have always had good comments back as well!! Great quality as well. My children have dropped and stumbled it around and its still amazing condition and working!!

I bought this monitor and within and few weeks the buttons to move camera around stopped working. I decided to keep it because I could still see the majority of the crib. Now the sound button stopped working! This thing is so cheap and a piece of junk. Do not waste your money on this product!!!

It worked great until our baby was 14 months, now the handheld monitor won't recharge. From other reviewers, this seems to be a common defect. I contacted the manufacturer to find out if it could just be the battery or the adaptor, but apparently I need to replace the entire monitor... at full price of course (we have another baby on the way). This product was expensive and I'm very disappointed.

Sometimes Summer Infant really amazes me (Swaddle me/Tiny Diner/bibbity/piddle pad) and other times I just want to toss it in the trash and start new with motorola or something. I bought this because I have three small children and one of them is a dare devil to say the least... constant supervision is KEY! So the pan/zoom option was a must. I am now sending back my third best view (parent) unit because it has stopped working. So frustrating! The free return label and somewhat timely shipment of new product don't make up for several nights of 'old school' monitoring via tip toeing around and all the frustration. The folks on the phone are nice but not always sympathetic and probably because they are talking to people who shelled-out some bank for a product that I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Very disappointed and very bummed to be disappointed...OH man-that's bad! Such potential

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT OR THIS COMPANY!!
We bought this monitor in an older version (brand new at the time) for about $200 based on the recommendation of another couple who had recently had a child, and what a waste of money it was! After about two months, the top button (VIDEO ON/OFF), which allows you to view the video screen to actually monitor your child broke. It could not be pressed down at all. My husband opened it to realize that the piece is simply hot glued to the circuit board. He attempted to re-glue it, but it did not hold. So, we are stuck with a $200 monitor set with one little broken piece that the company will not repair, replace, or even sell us a new button to fix ourselves. When I called them, I was told I could "buy a new one". Seriously, I'm going to go out and purchase another Summer Infant product? Not in a million years!!

Works great for naps. We are trying to get our baby into a regular nap schedule and having this really helps us know when we should go into her room or not.

We bought this monitor when my son was born; he is now over two years old. We love the fact we can scan the whole room without going to the room, especially since we have another baby now, who is seven months old. They both sleep in the same room, so it is great to check up on both of them from the comfort of the living room or our room. I have recommended this to several people and they are all very happy with it. In over two years of use, all we have had to do is replace the batteries just once, no other problems at all.

Having the ability to move the camera without going into the nursery is a lifesaver! We sleep much better since the purchase of this monitor.

About a month after we began using this, a small "creep" of black started to appear on the monitor. It grew... and grew...and grew... until half the monitor was completely black. I called Summer Infant who offered to replace it. I just had to send them my [$] monitor and within a month I would receive a new one. "What monitor am I supposed to use in the meantime?" I asked. No response. We decided to just make it work rather than be monitor-less or have to buy an interim monitor. Then the video blacked out completely. We used it as an audio monitor at this point - we just didn't have time to deal with the return. Tonight, the audio gave out completely as well. My baby is seven months old. I would never recommend this junk to anyone. I would not even give it one star if this system didn't force a minimum of one star to post this.
