Comments about Babytouch Boost Color Video Monitor:

I purchased this set Nov. 2012. I bought the monitor with 2 cameras because I do both daycare and foster care. When we have little foster kids, they love knowing we can hear them and we can talk to them also. It is reassuring to them to know someone is there if needed. I also love it when I have an infant in my daycare. Sure, I check in on them often, but when the other kids get loud, I like being able to watch the infant to make sure it hasn't been woke up.
I also like it when I am on a different floor, I can just talk on the monitor and not have to do the stairs all the time. I also like it that we can use it with very little light. I love it so much, I am buying another one for the family room! The only cons I have are...1) I wish there was an easier way to carry the monitor without moving the cameras, 2) I wish I could scan lower. I put the cameras up on the wall so I can cover more area, but then I cannot get anything real close below. We had to make a shelf on an angle to put it on. 3) I wish the range was a little farther.

Comments about Babytouch Boost Color Video Monitor:

Disclosure: I was given this monitor at no cost to try however, this is an unbiased review and all opinions are my own.

This monitor has everything! The instructions that were included with the monitor were clear and easy to follow. Set-up was simple enough that I really only had to refer to the manual to sync the camera(s) with monitor and mount it on the wall. All of the buttons and touch-screen options are straight-forward/universal icons that are easy to figure out without further instruction.

We were given two cameras and have one mounted on the wall just over my daughter's crib (where she naps during the day and will eventually sleep at night). We are using the other as a table-top/traveling camera (moving it between our bedroom, where she sleeps at night and the living room, where she plays during the day) With the camera mounted on the wall, over the crib, I can use the "pan/scan/zoom" feature and see EVERY inch of her room (corner-to-corner and floor to ceiling!) And with this monitor, I'm able to zoom-in up to 3x. You can add up to 4 (!) cameras and use the touch-screen to easily switch between the cameras and view each room.

Our old monitor, did not have the pan/scan/zoom feature and at first, I was concerned that the camera would make noise while moving and wake the baby (she's a light sleeper) but, it's silent! The audio however, is very clear and has 6 levels. I've been keeping it on the 2nd or 3rd level and if I leave the monitor in another room, I can still hear her clearly throughout the house.

I like how the image takes up most of the face of the hand held monitor - it's crystal clear in color and even the automatic night vision (see customer image) is sharp and clear (a must-have feature in my opinion especially this time of year when it gets dark so early). There is also an adjustable brightness setting with 6 levels. The 3.5" screen is about the size of a large cellphone and fits nicely in my hand. It has a clip on the back that can be used as a stand or clipped onto my pocket/clothes. The monitor and camera are both "attractive" looking which is not of huge importance but, to me it's a bonus - I like that they don't stand out in our house as an eye sore.

The talk-back feature has quite a few benefits - I can use it to shush the baby when necessary (although she's in a mimicking stage and it's more entertaining than anything right now - she thinks it's funny to hear my voice over the intercom and repeat the sounds) When the other camera is in the living room, or bedroom, I've been using it to tell the dogs to get "off" of the couch or bed :) I also recommended this monitor to my neighbor who has an elderly/disabled mother. He does a lot of gardening/yard work and between the 600ft. range and the talk-back feature, he'd be able to keep an eye on her and and communicate with her without having to stop what he's doing and go inside.

We have almost an acre of land and spend a lot of time outdoors so a monitor with a good range is necessary. The 600ft range allows me to walk to the back of my yard without losing the signal or across the street, to get the mail. The only time I briefly lost the signal was just under power lines or while standing next to someone using a cellphone (same interference you'd experience with most forms of technology and I'm not sure but, the reason behind the interference could have something to do with how they make sure it's a "secure" and "private" connection between monitor and camera?) Taking a few steps away from the interference (wires, cellphone) brought the signal back each time.

This monitor also shows the temperature in the room which is nice to know. My daughter's room is at the "cold" end of the house and I often worry that she's too cold (or hot, in the summer). I wanted to see how accurate the temperature reading was so, I plugged in a space heater (also shows a temp. reading) and the difference between the heater and monitor was only 1 degree.

So far, I am entirely happy with this monitor and it couldn't have come at a better time - It has every feature we need (and more). Highly recommend the Baby Touch Boost Color Video Monitor!

Comments about Babytouch Boost Color Video Monitor:

I love this monitor! I am able to watch my baby sleep from another room and know that she is safe. I love that I can clearly see her in the dark and that I can easily hear every move, squeak, grunt, any noise she makes. We travel a lot and we used this monitor everywhere we went. I don't know why the other reviewer needed the monitor to be so far away from the crib and needed the distance, but if you don't need the distance, this monitor is perfect. I now have an infant son and am using it again to watch him sleep. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we lost the hand held monitor (that's how much we use it) and need to get a new one - our own fault! I wish they sold the items seperately.

Range is nor even close to what is stated. We had trouble at 20 feet through one normal door. At 50 feet it does not work even without obstructions. Product is essentially useless. This is the3rdsummer infant monitor we have owned and they have all had the same problem. We just bought a Samsung monitor and it is fantastic. Range is 100 feet plus
