Love, love, love this!
We use it on top of an Ikea bookcase; it's kinda large and doesn't leave much room for wipes and diaper cream, but I don't care!
If we had purchased a regular changing pad/table with a cover, we would be changing the cover ALL the TIME.
Apparently, newborns love to pee (and poop) when fresh air hits their bottom. We've had to change outfit after outfit after it runs up her back.
BUT all we have to do is wipe down the changing pad and it's ready to go for next time!
An excellent purchase.

I was looking for a changing pad to fit a small (IKEA) table. I really wanted an organic pad but didn't want to spend $100+ on something that wasn't going to fit anyway.I found this Soft Gear pad on a few sites but not in stores. [@] wanted $20 to ship it! So I went with Diapers.com for the free, fast shipping and figured that I didn't like it, I could return it with their free return policy.At first, I didn't like this changing pad. I was used to a traditional (cheap, toxic!) pad with a cover from when I had my first child. My fingernails would get "caught" as I picked up the baby. (And I have short fingernails.)I ended up buying a couple of contour covers which did fit over the pad. (Not perfectly, but they fit.) I liked the look and my nails didn't get caught anymore. Then, when the covers would get soiled, I'd get annoyed that I had to change/clean them. With no cover, you can just wipe the pad off or use soap and water with a towel for no added laundry. So I went back to no covers.I did call the company to ask a couple questions before I purchased it (there were no reviews yet) and spoke with a nice representative. He told me that I could even put this pad in the dishwasher to clean it. (My first thought was "Eww." But I must have a small dishwasher because there's NO way this thing is fitting in either the top or the bottom rack.)We've use it for several months now and I am very happy with this product. It looks like it will stand the test of time. No wear and tear so far. I remember having to buy a couple of the old pads over the course of my first-born's infancy/toddlerhood so if this continues to last, it will be a good value overall.Long story short (too late): It took me a while to warm up to it but now it's a must-have.

Much nicer, softer and easier to clean than traditional changing pads that crack, peal and become hard. This is very easy to clean, just wipe it off, no need for sheets or covers. Only about 30 inches long so when child gets bigger it will not work as well.

We have triplets and this changer gets a LOT of work. What is great is that if it gets dirty, you can easilly wipe it clean and it is ready for duty again. You don't need to change covers or anything, just wipe it clean! Soft foam stays in place unlike the vinyl covered pad that you need to attach to the changing table. This is a grea item and an outstanding value.
