We purchased the squares to put in our living room so little one had a cushy place to play with toys. While they are very cute and easy to assemble, the "paint" is not long lasting at all. First one we got the dogs face was peeling off within the week. Called Diapers.com and they sent a new pack...This one has lasted I'd say maybe 3-4 weeks...and now the owl's paint is rubbing off. I have not used any harsh chemicals to clean..just a slightly soapy paper towel to wipe them clean about once a week. My overall thought "MEH" I wouldn't purchase these again...not with characters on it...maybe just plain ones next time

I purchased this play mat because of how cute it was but was disappointment with how unfunctional it turned out to be for us. We had it in our son's room that was carpeted. There are a lot of pieces that pop out when moving over the mat. It might work a lot better if it was placed on a hard surface only.
