ITS HARD TO WRITE A REVIEW ON FORMULA BECAUSE EVERY BABIES BELLY IS DIFFERENT. I SWITCHED MY DAUGHTER 4 TIMES BEFORE WE FOUND THIS ONE AND SHE LIKES IT. IT WORKS WITH HER SYSTEM AND YES SHE STILL HAS AN OCCASSIONAL TUMMY ACHE BUT THERE ISNT A FORMULA OUT THERE THAT WILL ELIMINATE ALL TUMMY ACHES, OUR BODIES JUST DONT ADJUST 100%, ALL BABIES ARE GOING TO HAVE TUMMY ACHES REGARDLESS. OF COURSE THE BEST THING TO USE IS BREAST MILK BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE ME AND CANT PRODUCE ENOUGHT FOR YOUR LITTLE ONE THEN I RECOMMEND THIS. THANKS DIAPERS.COM FOR DELIVERING IT RIGHT TO MY DOOR.

My newborn started of with similac advance in the hospital and it gave him terrible gas. After switching to sensitive formula the gas went away. For babies with really bad gas like my son try substituting water with mint leaf tea.All you have to do is boil the water and drop a few leaves in a let it draw then use that water to mix the formula. My son's gas went away almost instantly by using this method at two months old he has no gas at all.I still use this method at 15wks and he still has no gas problems. The formula is a little expesive but it works and my baby is a lot happier that's all i care about. It does stain but it's not permanent. For the tough stains i use tide stain release it work like a dream.

We tried regular Similac 1st and my baby's stomach would make noise and he would arch his back from stomach pain. After we switched to the sensitive brand this stopped. The only down side is he still spits up...but he did this with breast milk too.

I switched from similac advance to this formula I tried powder first it does bubbles but it is due to being lactose freee, I recommend mixing larger amount of formular and storing it in fridge for up to 24 h this way formula is bubbly. It does containt corn syrup but also digests well especially for fussy babies like mine. I use powder for making larger amount of formula such for daycare but I love ready to feed bottles.

After breast feeding, my baby didnt take to the regular similac, so the Dr. suggested this. We did also try Enfamil, but she hated it and would actually spit it out! [...] No complaint about the formula. We recently started to mix an oz. of whole milk with it, she will be one soon! She loves that.

This product has a ton of bubbles and foam when mixed from powder. Unfortunately, Similac is what my little one started out with in the hospital, so that's the only taste she knows. I tried to switch her to Enfamil, which wasn't foamy or bubbly at all, but she didn't like the taste because she wasn't used to it.

Comments about Sensitive Powder - 23.2 oz:

My son gets breastmilk supplemented with formula. The only formula we have used is Similac. For a few months we had been using Similac Advance, but I was starting to get worried about how much gas my son had. I wondered even before he was born whether he was going to have lactose issues, because I did when I was a baby and still do a little bit as an adult. I was hesitant to switch formulas because you never know how your baby will react, but I decided 2 weeks ago to buy one can of the Sensitive formula. I'm glad that I did, because not only does he have noticeably less gas, his poop is nowhere near as copious and dark as it was. There have been far fewer diaper blowouts lately. He's also a lot happier at night and goes to sleep much more pleasantly and easily. In fact, throughout the day he's just been a much happier baby. I know how terrible I feel when I have gas and cramps from lactose, so I can just imagine how a little baby must feel. The Similac Sensitive is like Lactaid; it's still based on cow's milk but the lactose has been removed. And it's working for my son!

When my daughter was a few weeks old we had to start supplementing with formula and our doctor recommended Similac, so we tried the Similac Advance to start. My daughter loved it, but she seemed to be gassier than normal so we bought the Similac Sensitive. My daughter once again loved it, so much that it started causing problems with breast feeding. The other giant problem was it caused major constipation problems, and my daughter still had gas. We switched back to the Similac Advance and we're all much happier. Plus, my daughter who's now 8 weeks old has outgrown the gassy problems.

Comments about Sensitive Powder - 23.2 oz:

Pardon the chemistry lesson for those who don't care... but all milk has sugar. Cow's milk has lactose, which for some people is very difficult to digest. Human milk has considerably less lactose than cow's milk, which is why some babies are just fine on breast milk, but are gassy on cow's milk formula. In a lactose free product, those sugars need to be replaced in order to maintain the composition of the milk. Most commonly, lactose is replaced with fructose or sucrose. A lot of people like the Good Start gentle formulas because they do not contain these products. That's ok, but not necessarily better. The Good Start products are not lactose free. They are engineered to be easier to digest. Similac sensitive is engineered to be lactose free. Pick your poison I suppose. My son has done well on this formula, and remained in the 50th percentile both before and after breast feeding. Every baby is different. My son does well on both the Sensitive and Good Start products. Yours may not. Do what's best. A product that is fantastic for one may be a total miss for yours.

I started my 3 month old out on the Advance formula. She was very unhappy, and cried after every feeding. And strained very hard when having a bowel movement. We switched to the sensitive this week and she seems to be doing much better. She is dozing off after her feedings now, I think she's catching up on sleep after all that crying because of gas from the Advance. She is always very happy now when she's awake.
