Palm oil is in nearly every baby forula out there. It is higher in saturated fats than other vegetable oils and it reduces calcium absorption resulting in decreased bone density. I also try to avoid palm oil whenever possible because of it's environmental impact.

We've used this formula now for two babies and love it. I never have problems with mixing it, the container and scoop are easy to use, and most importantly, it's been easy on both kids' tummies. We had issues with spit up with other formula, but this has been fantastic.
Also, Similac has excellent customer service. They are responsive and generous with coupons and samples. I'm a loyal customer and will continue to use their products.

First, my son, since he went on strike with me, would only take at most 1 -2 oz of breast milk from a bottle - and I am not exagerrating when I am saying "at most". Basically we were left with having to spoon feed him breast milk. He hated the bottle. Second, we only feed our children organic, so it was very important as my breast milk supplies started to diminish that I pick a formula that he hopefully would drink. I was torn between this brand and the other brands. Basically it came down to one reviewer who stated that this formula actually tasted good. I was afraid that he'd reject it, but to my surprise, on the first try he downed 2 oz of breast milk w/ 2 oz of formula. Second try, 4 oz of formula were downed within a minute and the pattern continues. I am relieved. He has finally started drinking from a bottle at 7.5 months. Please understand, I have read all the other comments about chemicals and sugar usage but I need my son to get these nutrients and if it means overlooking a few things, I guess I'll have to. I would rather not have to, I would rather Similac take into account that sugar as a second ingredient in baby formula raises concern.

we have used the regular similac with no problems, but the organic has a strange, almost congealed consistency when mixed. would not buy again.

it was the perfect formula for our son! he loves it, no tummy issues, no issues when it comes to feeding time! it does look like it doesnt mix well, but he loves it so we deal with it. we shake it up in between burping

My 4 month old daughter has been tolerating this formula well in addition to breastfeeding. It does make her stools slightly more soft/formed, but no constipation. She does have a little spit-up with it, but no more than with breastmilk. The least spit-up formula we have used for her is Similac Sensitive. However, I like to use this one since it is organic.

I've always used Similac Organic, but always bought the can, not the plastic container. I've noticed that the can is no longer available in my local store either, so I guess they're switching. For those of you who don't know, the can was lined with BPA containing plastic, only in the top and bottom, unlike some other brands that are lined entirely with the plastic. This NEW all plastic container is marked with the plastic code #2 HDPE, which is one of the GOOD plastics, not known to leach any chemicals into the formula. So finally, I feel good about buying organic formula in this new container!
