Recommended Age: Newborn to 12 months

        Features:

        • Halal, kosher
        • DHA (Omega 3) and ARA (Omega 6) for brain and eye development
        • Calcium for strong bones, no palm olein oil
        • Nucleotides to help support the immune system
        • Prebiotics to help promote digestive health

        • Calcium for strong bones, no palm olein oil

NOTE: Similac for Spit-Up formula contains rice starch. Compared to other Abbott Nutrition powder formulas, Similac For Spit-Up powder mixes a little more slowly with water. This is true of any formula that contains rice starch. Rice starch is what makes Similac For Spit-Up look more "grainy" than other Similac formulas. This is not a product defect. The rice starch grains are very small, and should not cause any issue with feeding through a nipple.

      • Water, corn syrup, rice starch, milk protein isolate, high oleic safflower oil, sugar, soy oil, coconut oil, galactooligosaccharides. Less than 0.5% of the following: C. cohnii oil, m. alpina oil, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, calcium phosphate, potassium citrate, potassium chloride, carrageenan, ascorbic acid, monoglycerides, soy lecithin, magnesium chloride, calcium carbonate, potassium phosphate, choline chloride, ferrous sulfate, choline bitartrate, taurine, m-inositol, dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, zinc sulfate, l-carnitine, niacinamide, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, vitamin A palmitate, cupric sulfate, thiamine chloride hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, potassium iodide, phylloquinone, biotin, sodium selenate, vitamin D3, cyanocobalamin, potassium hydroxide, and nucleotides (adenosine 5’-monophosphate, cytidine 5’-monophosphate, disodium guanosine 5’-monophosphate, disodium uridine 5’-monophosphate).

My son is now 6 months. I had tried a couple different formulas and then just accepted he spits up, a lot. When I saw this on the website, I figured I would just try it. We saw the difference almost immediately. Sure, he spits up a tiny bit, but the difference is HUGE and he is a baby after all. This is awesome!

Our little girl responded really well to this formula and the amount she spit up reduced dramatically. I wish Similac made this in the 8oz bottles for travel, but otherwise we have no gripes over this formula. We prefer the pre-mixed to the powder, but have used both. This formula was a life-saver for us!

2 months ago they had the best price. 3 weeks later there was a $7 price increase. I called to see why there was a price increase and was told it was a sale but then 3 weeks after that there was another $6 increase. Needless to say I won't be ordering from here anymore. It's cheaper to buy on [@].

I love this formula, but I will not order it from this company again. We were ordering it from here because it was the best price around. Now there has been a dramatic increase in the price. You can get it from other stores for the same price without the hassle! We will get it from the store from now on!!!!

After trying just about every formula on the market, we found this formula to work the best. The Ready to Feed formula works well. I have not tried the powder. Diapers.com went from having the best price on the internet to the most expensive in less than a month from [$] a case to [$]. Just when I was beginning to fall in love. I have to say goodbye.

My daughter was born with low blood sugar, and needed to eat immediatly after birth. Because of this, the nurses did not want me to spend time trying to get her to nurse and instead gave her formula. Because of this, she has never been a good nurser, and lived on pumped breast milk for the first 2 months of her life. Then, she developed silent reflux and serious gas issues. We tried many different Similac formulas, including Advance and the one for Lactose sensitivity. She had severe spit-up with both kinds, then we found this brand. Since being on it, she almost never spits up, and when she does, its a drop or two. She really enjoys the taste--now she refuses breastmilk. It keeps her full and lasts in the fridge for 2 days. I prefer the ready to feed bottles because mixing formula in the middle of the night is nearly impossible. I have never found a better price than at diapers.com, and will continue to buy my daughter's formula here!

Excellent formula! Really helps with the amount of spit ups. As explained by a pediatrician: the formula thickens in the stomach of the baby and being less liquid holds inside. The price is actually the cheapest ever! [$] in local Giant store! You can's find it cheaper than that! [@] offers a 6 pack for [$]

Comments about for Spit-Up Ready to Feed Formula - 32 oz - 6 pk:

Our baby (now 15 months old, blessedly!) had severe silent reflux at birth. This is reflux that instead of manifesting as spit-up goes the wrong way and tries to force itself into the baby's lungs. Our little guy would turn blue, dark purple, grey or chalk-white whenever he ate as a newborn. He also frequently fainted and was often difficult to revive. Several times his faints lasted 45+ minutes, even when we rubbed snow on his chest to wake him. We had to hold him at a 45 or 90 degree angle (depending on how he was doing each night) while he slept in order to prevent him from choking on his severe acid reflux. This trouble lasted 1 year and we are just now starting to be able to put him on a baby monitor for several hours at a time (and, no, the hospital could not do anything to help him, except to tell us to hold our baby at night or put a baby who ate wonderfully on a G.I. feeding tube, which comes with its own host of serious medical problems) Our gastro specialist put him on Prevacid (Zantac having failed), an antacid that is very helpful to control the reflux. We also use the Similac Sensitive for Spit-Up Formula, which is lactose-free (it does contain some milk protein) and has DHA for baby's development and rice starch to help thicken the formula to keep it in baby's stomach longer and help prevent reflux. We also added, under gastro specialist's instructions, 1/2 tsp baby sweet potato (and 1 tsp from age 4 months forward) to each bottle at night (shake it up to dissolve) to further help the formula stay better in our baby's stomach and reduce the chance of reflux. The difference between this and other formulas was night and day!! Our baby refluxed MUCH less, and was MUCH safer with the Similac Spit-Up formula. He also liked the flavor, unlike Nutramigen and other totally dairy-free formulas. He did not grow as well on this formula as on the Similac Advanced formula that we had been using since his birth. My guess is that the high level of cornstarch in the spit-up formulation to help it be lactose free is simply not as nutritious as milk, although the baby formula companies will argue the point with you. However, our baby chokes less, no longer faints, and his reflux is MUCH lower than it was on the old milk-based formula. He is also still growing well by the charts. I would HIGHLY recommend this formula switch to any parents dealing with severe reflux. Oh, and Enfamil AR was too gelatinous and was MORE dangerous for our baby because the formula was so thick that when he refluxed he could barely cough it out, increasing his choking danger. The Similac Spit-Up Formula is a MUCH better balance for baby's health, in our opinion. All advice in this review is based on our personal experiences (and our baby is doing very well!)

I am sooo happy to make this review! We have had an awful time with our now 4 month old, since he was 3 weeks old. He was breastfed till 6 weeks and I stopped since he was so extremely fussy, spitting up, and gassy. He was put on Similac Sensitive and was a little better, but not a whole lot. The docs said he had colic. He also had an upper GI that showed relux. He was tried on Nutramigen which is EXPENSIVE, however, if he did well enough on it, we were 100% willing to have him on whatever he needed. He HATED the taste! Dropped to 16 ounces per day, rather than his normal 35 ounces. (He's a hungry boy!) Now he's on the spit up form of Similac Sensitive. LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Wish I did this when he was 6 weeks old! <3

We buy this formula because the ready-to-feed kind is WAY CHEAPER per ounce than the powdered formula. (We just keep one canister around of the powder for her diaper bag, travel, etc. The rest of the time we use this stuff.) Also, note that I shopped around in store and online and diapers.com had the cheapest price! As for the formula, it does help cut down on spit up, but it doesn't get rid of it. I don't think a formula could as young babies might spit up for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to, an immature digestive system.
