Comments about Expert Care Neosure Powder - 13.1 oz:

This formula has worked great for getting my babies weight up. He was born at 34w5d and was 3lb13oz. By 2.5 months he was up to 9lb6oz!
The only bad things I can say is I wish they made bigger containers of this formula and not just 13oz cans. And baby had horrible gas with this formula.

Comments about Expert Care Neosure Powder - 13.1 oz:

My daughter was born 12 weeks early at 28 weeks. She was fed breastmilk exclusively with HMF added (Human Milk Fortifier). However the mineral concentration in the HMF started to cause her calcium levels to rise too high. So they put her on a half bmilk/half Sim Neosure diet for the next several weeks. Eventually going back to bmilk fortified with this formula. She has been on that mixture since we came home this last month as well. We are also supplementing occasionally with a 1:2 formula:bmilk mix when needed.
It has totally done the job of helping her catch up on her weight. She was 2 lbs, 12 oz at birth, and has reached her due date and has topped 9 lbs 5 oz! (my son was 9.1, so that is about where she should have been at birth).
Great product, agree on the price being a little steep. But I have found it in the pharmacy section of stores on occasion for a couple dollars less then the running national price. But its something you have to have, so it will always cost more. All formula is that way.

Over all, it has worked wonders for weight gain. My daughters neonatalogist called her a "linebacker" at her last eval, that speaks for it's self. It's not all fat either, she is developmentally on target too in strength and other areas.

Comments about Expert Care Neosure Powder - 13.1 oz:

Our twins were born premature. They had this brand while in the NICU and we stuck with it when they came home. They also receive breast milk but I have to say that I think this formula helped them gain weight and start catching up with their age group (fun with percentile charts). We tried another preemie brand and it did not agree with their stomachs so we will be using this formula for awhile. I wish that this specialty formula brand would occasionally go on sale or Similac would offer a coupon every now and then. The price for it just went up, which is a bummer.

Comments about Expert Care Neosure Powder - 13.1 oz:

Because my twins were premature, the hospital instructed me to use Similac Neosure, both for bottle feeding and for fortifying my milk. As indicated on the product, it's designed for special conditions (such as prematurity), but can be used up to 12 months of age. It mixes easily and my twins don't seem to have a problem with it (aside from less messy diapers, which is common with formula anyway). I've had no problems with it staining burp cloths, clothes, etc. It's a great product IF recommended by your doctor. Not all babies need this special formula.

Delivered my daughter at 33 weeks due to pre-eclampsia and this is what they gave her in the NICU...she's almost 3mths old and has doubled her weight...at her last check-up the nurse and I each guessed what we thought her weight would be...we were both wrong, she was up to over 7lbs in just over a month and a half...I love NeoSure and will most definitely give it to her as long as possible

Our son was born at 32 1/2 weeks. Although I was pumping and he was receiving milk through his NG Tube, he was also given this at the NICU when his milk supply from me was low until my next daily visit. We used this at home after discharge as a supplement to breast milk while I was trying to get my milk supply up. He loved it and he is doing great now! At 7 months old, he's caught up on all of his developmental milestones and weighs 21 lb and is 27" long!! We're so happy, especially considering he wasn't even big enough to make the growth charts at birth. Thanks for a great product!

We were discharged from the NICU with Similac Expert Care formula because this was the only formula that our twin boys could tolerate aside from the milk I was pumping. They do well on it, even with the terrible Reflux in the early months. As far as I am concerned, no formula mixes well or smells good, and this one is no different. BUT both the babies seem to think its fine, that is what matters and that there is extra protein and a bit more "oomph" in this formula for our little miracle babies! (twins born at 29 weeks)

This is a great product! It mixes easy and the girls love it! They were born at 34 weeks weighing 4lb 10oz and 4lb 7oz and now at 9 weeks weight over 9 pounds each!! Since I switched to the powder opposed to the ready mix bottle we don't have problems with constipation. Another benefit is the purified water we use has fluoride where the already mixed does not (recommended by my Dr). All in all the girls are growing wonderfully and even are sleeping through the night. I will continue to use this product for the next several months.

This is the product that the NICU in a children's hospital uses. We use it to fortify breast milk and supplement if necessary. My baby was born at 32 weeks and although we were lucky that he weighed 5lb 10oz at birth this formula is helping him continue to gain. He is now 6 weeks old and weighs a little over 7 lbs. We used this formula because of the doctor's recommendation, but now wouldn't want to use anything else. Definitely a great product for premature babies.

This formula Contains DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), which are important for preemies. We have used it almost exclusively for five months due to the recommendation of our physician.
The price is somewhat high for regular use and it's universal. One wonders about price fixing...

This was fed to our 32 wk preemie as a human milk fortifier during her stay in the NICU. She seemed to do all right on it for the first two wks of her stay. She was then allowed to go directly to breast and then refused bottled feedings all together. We noticed that she no longer spit up or had reflux issues once she went strictly to breast. It could have been the Neosure or could be that she was a couple weeks older at that point but that was our experience. As far as wt gain, fortunately she has done well regardless of refusing Neosure feeds. Birth wt 3#12oz and is now 8#1oz at 11wks. I would recommend it for strictly formula fed preemies. Otherwise our baby did better on breastmilk.

My son was born during the 33 week in my pregnancy weighing a little over four pounds, While in the NICU this is the formula they started feeding him they told me to continue feeding him this formula that was over a month ago he now weights 6 pounds 6 ounces. The only downside is the formula does stain. But I would defiantly say to use it if you have a preemie baby or newborn that had low birth weight. I use the soothie bottles with this formula and they seem to work better with the formula then other brand bottle that I have tried sense bring him home from the NICU a week ago

The pediatrician put my daughtr on this in the NICU. She was 6 weeks early and 4 lbs 9 ounces. At almost 5 months, she is 13 lbs 4 ounces! She's more then tripled her weight. We use this to fortify the breastmilk and if we need to supplement. Definitely good for a preemie! Worth the money!

My daughter was 6 wks. premature. She weighed 4 lbs. 7 oz. For the first 9 months, we only used Neosure. At her 1 yr. checkup she weighed 16 lbs.! Thanks to neosure, my daughter more than tripled her weight!
