I bought this after a friend recommended it. I wanted to stop feeding breast milk and wanted to feed formula so thought I'd give it a try. My baby hated it! It smells horrible and tastes awful. What a waste of money...

My baby is allergic to cow'S milk he had a rash from it ,so i switches about 4 formulas. Plus he had a terrible colics and gases. Than our doc. Switched us on Similac alimentum. My baby hated it... He had terrible stomach aches, was crying alot wouldnt nap plus constipation and his rash didnt go away. It smells horrible and every timw i was giving it to him i felt reqlly bad i could imagine how yakky it would taste.
I read good reiews about this formula but it didnt work for u at all. I wish i never gave it to him cause he turned into a totally dif baby. Probably it works diferent on every baby.

We switched to this formula after a GI upset for our three month old son. It was an easy transtion and he is doing great. My only "gripe" is that I wish it came in a bigger container as I feel like I am ALWAYS buying formula.

My son is now 4 months old and we wnt down the line of similac formulas and finally started the Alimentum and he is a happy boy now less gas and no more arching of back. Only down fall is taste didnt take right away had to get used to it plus started waking up at and needed to get fed again where before was sleeping 9 hrs straight but better now..His acid relfux is better and red rash is also better

We just switched to this formula about 3 days ago and we already have seen such a big difference in our 6 and a half month old son! He had switched to soy formula when he was about 3 weeks old because of a milk allergy. As soon as he switched to soy, he was diagnosed with reflux and what they were saying was eczema, and then heat rash....The past month or so, since he started eating a decent amount of solids, he has been giving us a really hard time about drinking his bottles and we couldn't figure out why. The other day, I found out that the symptoms (reflux, rash, squirming/not wanting bottle) are signs of a soy allergy. We immediately switched to Similac Alimentum and within 24 hours, we noticed such a change in our son! He's only spit up a tiny bit one time since we started this formula and his rash is gone! In the last 24 hours he also has stopped squirming throughout his bottle feedings! I'm so excited! It is harder to mix then the other formulas we've used though.

When we realized our baby was sensitive to cow's milk, we stopped breast feeding with our formula supplement and switched to soy. Come to find out, soy was the reason my child wasn't [*]. After much research, we thought we would give Allimentum a try. Within two days, my baby was happy and a pleasure to be around. She was my first but I knew babies shouldn't cry that much. I do recommend checking around on pricing. I found my local grocery store (of all places) and our local Meijer carry it for [$]! Combined with coupons, it's nearly the same price as a regular can.

I am a mother of two. I have a 4yr old son who was born 6 weeks early and he did great on Enfamil Gentlease. So when my husband and I had our daughter Feb 2011, we decided we would try her with it since her brother did so well on it. My daughter had the most awful screams and cries because she was having stomach pains. So the doctor recommended trying Soy Formual. We tried it and again the screams and cries because she was severely constipated. So then we tried Similac Alimentum...the greatest gift for a parent! lol. She has no more pains...She's like a brand new baby. (The Nutremagin we tried for a week,the ready to feed, and it was too heavy for her. She would sometimes spit it up). So we decided to stay with the Similac Alimentum powder and its great! Its also great if you're an outdoors person like my family and I are. The ready to feed goes bad if its not stored in the right temperature after 2 hrs.

my baby wasn't gaining weight and we realized it was because he's lactose intolerant. this formula was recommended by his pediatrician and he's thriving on it!! i agree with previous posters that it smells horrible (i think it smells like a mixture of corn and mashed potatoes..), but as long as L.O. thinks it tastes good that's all that matters! I had to stop breastfeeding and switch to this, and so it's saying something that my son likes it (because we all know breastmilk is much better smelling!). also, it definitely is tricky to mix, so keep that in mind! Wonderful product! My 4 mth old was having serious issues with acid reflux, gas and constipation. We tried every type of formula to help her from AR formula to competing colic formulas to gentle ease. Nothing helped her AR or her gas. We had her on this formula one time before and she did wonderful but switched because of the cost. Wrong thing to do! Now with meds and this formula she is thriving. She's back to being my sweet angel. The smell is something to get over but well worth the stench. For mixing try stirring with spoon in room temp water instead of shaking. Has worked better for us.

Tried it because ready-to-feed disappeared suddenly from everywhere & it didn't work for my twins. When I started to mix it - it won't dissolve at all! I'm pretty experienced with powder formulas & it's the first time I see smth like this! It was a disappointment, therefore I had to search Internet for ready-to-feed one anyway.

we started our son on this @ 2months and saw a huge difference. he had severe acid reflux, colic, and milk intolerence. a couple days on the formula and he was our perfect little man again.

My daughter now 6 months has had a bad rash with inflamed red skin on her head, neck and legs since i switched to formula from breast milk at 3 months. after going to the doctor every few weeks with a daughter with a bloody scalp from all the scratching the doc just kept saying they that she would out grow the rash. now at her 6 month check up the doctor finally said she must have a milk protein allergy and to try this formula. well.....in only 2 days her skin is totally healed. i am mad at doc for not recommending this formula earlier because it has made such a difference in her life. I totally recommend this formula for gas, colic and red rashed skin due to milk protein allergy. it really has worked wonders :)

I never produced enough breastmilk so we had to supplement. Formulas based with cow's milk gave my daughter diarrhea and formulas with soy based made her horribly constipated. We found out she just has a hard time breaking down the proteins so the pediatricain recommended Alimentum. She has been on it for almost a month and she is doing fantastic on it! The cost is hard on our wallets, but its so worth it to have a happy baby!Little tip plug your nose when mixing it, the smell is comparable to old moldy cat food!
