Comments about Baby Wipes - 768ct. Refill:

When I found out that Seventh G changed their wipes and people didn't like the new ones I ordered Earths Best instead. Then I ordered the Naty wipes. Finally I ordered the new Seventh G ones. I have all three in front of me now. Here is the differences:
SMELL: the earths best wipes have a slight perfume smell. The natty wipes smell like alcohol for a second before it evaporates. The Seventh G wipes don't smell much at all.
FEEL: the earths best wipes are super wet and soft, and a little sudsy from the aloe vera. To me it feels too wet and soppy. The Naty ones are a good mellow dampness, but are noticeably narrower than the other two (they are a long rectangle). My kid is three and has big poops so the size annoys me. The Seventh G ones are also smaller than the Earth's Best, but they are square and can easily handle the big messes.
DISPENSING: for me this is a key issue of why I am going to stick with the seventh G. They pull out one at a time with only one hand. The Naty ones are the worst— half the time I get a huge clump and I've found I have to pull them out and organize them before diaper changing because it is a two hand job to separate them. Earth Best is almost as bad as Naty. Seventh G comes out one at a time easy as pie while my other hand holds down the squirmy toddler.
SOFTNESS; There are complaints that the new Seventh G ones are rough. I disagree. They aren't as soft as the old ones, I guess, but I think they are perfect for the job. The Earth Best wipes are so liquidy and squishy they feel like they are just smearing things around and I have to use way more to get the job done. The Naty ones are fine, they lose my money on their size. The Seventh G ones have ridges printed into them (little sheep on a field?) and those ridges, fellow parents. make for way easier cleanup with less wipes. They are less soft than the Naty and the Earth's best, so maybe if I were dealing with a precious new born butt instead of a dirty three year old butt I'd feel differently, but I don't think so.

In the final analysis: the new seventh g diaper wins because it is a good shape, it is just the right amount of wet, it comes out of the bag easily with one hand and all of those features means that you use way less wipes per incident so they are less expensive. I have nothing against Earth's Best by the way I use their diapers exclusively. (Not thrilled with seventh g or Naty diapers but we'll leave that for another review.)

they are thicker and wetter than the old version. SO much better. can use half as many and these actually come out of the package one at a time and don't just push the poop around but actually wipe it up in the texture. not sure what others are complaining about. i hated the old ones but used because my son reacted to all others. thank goodness for these new ones!

Unfortunately the old version of the wipes which we changed to from g-wipes due to cost consideration and quality of wipes were much better than these. ( I had to change them when we were road tripping and g-wipes were not available at the local PCC, I was surprised at how nice the 7th generation wipes were!) But then after going through eleven cases, it turns out they changed the wipes to the version that is available now. The wipes were as others had suggested thick and rough. I also tried earth's best out of concern from other reviews which seemed nice but the wipes were not great with my warmer. Hope to see the old version return. Going to switch back to g-wipes despite cost. Tried Kirklands and now by baby has a true diaper rash for the first time and he is almost 1 year old.

They mistakenly used garage shop towels with a little extra abrasive... We have used the "old" ones for two years and loved them, these "new" ones are terrible! DO NOT BUY.

I was shocked to see the overall rating. These are the best wipes I've used. I'll even buy them if they are not on sale. I can usually get away with only using one! I would take at least 2-3 of any other wipe in order to get the job done.

We used the original seventh generation wipe for 2 plus years and were completely happy, until the new formulation. This version is thick, soapy and consistenly gives my toddler a rash. Would love to have the old wipe back!

We really like these wipes and here's why:

                      1. When I am changing my 2 year old daughter's diaper, time is of the essence. I can not waste time trying to pull a part each wipe from the container. Seventh Generation Wipes come out of the package easily and one at a time...brilliant!
                      2. The wipes are strong and reliable to wipe up quite a bit. Other reviews suggest the wipes are too abrasive, but I find them strong and not abrasive in the least.
                      3. The price is great!

So there are my thoughts..I hope they're helpful!

I was wary about ordering the new formula 7th Generation wipes after reading the barrage of negative comments, but I didn't have time to research another brand so we gave them a try. I'm happy to report that while they are different from the previous ones, they are perfectly good wipes. Specifically:

                            - because they are thicker, I use fewer of them during a messy diaper. I found myself using multiples of the thin old type.
                            - contrary to some comments here, I did not find the wipes soaking wet. They are moist but not excessively so.
                            - Nor did I find the wipes incredibly harsh; they are not as fully flexible due to their greater thickness but they're soft on the baby.

Strongly recommend that you try a pack and see if they work for you without being deterred by these reviews. Seventh Generation remains one of the best out there in terms of non-toxic ingredients.

We used the old 7th Gen wipes for a year and a half, and I finally got so fed up with the flimsy thin design, and the stinky "unscented" smell- that I bought several other brands to audition for a new favorite in our house. Then I saw that these had been updated and decided to give them one more go... SO GLAD I DID! The new design is thicker (no more doubling up), they feel much more effective- yet still gentle, and there is no more weird stinky smell. They are just totally fresh and clean and GREAT. I love them. Finally. :)

I love the sturdiness of these wipes. My daughters both are very sensitive to different chemicals and even fabrics, and they have never had any problems with these.

I liked the old version okay, but the new version is way better at least for a toddler. Just one or two wipes is plenty even for a big mess. I never used to use the old kind for faces, etc. because they didn't do that great of a job, but these work wonderful for cleaning up after a meal. Each package seems to last a long time because you don't need as many because they are so thick and clean so well. We haven't had any rash issues despite having a child with extremely sensitive skin.
