Overall, good product to use to introduce your baby to fruit without actually having to eat the actual fruit, especially watermelon. It is a relief for achy gums and feels good when something cold and soft/mushy is placed inside for the babies to suck on.

My 7 1/2 month old hated this, but I think it's because he doesn't like cold food yet. I will try to use it again when he is older. I also had a very hard time opening the feeder to put in the food. I don't know if there is something wrong with the product or I am very uncoordinated.

This is a neat concept! It took my guy a little while to be interested in using it. Once he decided it was o.k. to use I was pretty happy that he could chew on a frozen peach and aleviate his teething pangs and also have some fruit at the same time! Then came time to wash it....Oh boy! The mesh is sooo hard to clean! Putting it in the dishwasher it just collected other dirt from the washing and washing by hand seemed near impossible. If you keep at it you can get it clean. The mesh does discolor. I didn't care so much about that it was getting it clean that mattered. If you don't mind the difficulty in cleaning it then it is a good item. Our dog got ahold of it and chewed a hole in the mesh bag so now I am on the fence over ordering any replacement mesh bags to continue using it or just scrap it. I give it 3 stars an average rating because it is useful but ease of cleaning is lacking. An average product, could be better, could be worse.

This thing is awesome! I never used it with my first baby but am using it every day with my second baby! She does not like to be spoon fed purees and takes to this perfectly! I have filled it with steamed, then cooled sweet potato wedges, pears, apples, fresh banana --- no problem washing the mesh bag even with banana. Just use a little dish soap -- not sure what the other moms are talking about! My baby LOVES this and she can safely try different foods whole without me staring at her every second to make sure she doesn't choke. Oh and I also dice up pear or apple and put in the freezer, pull it out and put some in the mesh bag and it's a wonderful soothing teether with flavor on it!

It is a great thing to have. It helps me on the go, for travel and at home to free my hands and keep my little one busy and happy. I am extremely happy with everything. The mesh lost its original white finish but it is going to happen with any mesh and any feeder. I have no problem to wash it. And I do not apply extra efforts to clean/wash it. I do agree that it is a challenge to open at first. But after a couple of times I had no problem (one detail: it is important to have you hands and the feeder dry to get the best results)

There is a pocket in the top that collects water when you wash it and it is impossible to get it out unless you cut the plastic open. I was afraid of the water being stagnant and had to throw it out. The feeder is a great concept, this one is just not waterproof.

My doctor recommended this and my nine month old loves it. I cut up fresh fruit, place it in the freezer for a few hours, then place the fruit in the feeder and he happily gnaws away. His gums feel good and he gets great nutrition out of it.

We love this feeder. Every time we take this out someone comments "I wish they had that when my child was little". Good for ice cubes, fruits, teething biscuits, etc. Will occupy him while we are having a meal. Just be sure to put a bib on your little one. The best part is the cap. You can just throw the dirty feeder in the cap and wash when you get home. I recommend washing right away. Top is removable yet childproof. Very happy mom and 7 month old!

baby and I love this product and wouldn't leave home without it. For cleaning I recommend you hand-wash in hot soapy water as soon as baby is done with food in it, otherwise it'll stain and it won't be easy to come off.

My baby loves it when I put pears or nectarines in here, he can just gum them and suck on it and I don't have to worry about him choking.

However, I tried to sterilize all parts as I would any feeding tool, and the handle has a water sac in it that you can freeze to keep the food cold. When I sterilized this piece the water sac shriveled and tore and now I can't use it and had to buy a new one. I'm sure it's my fault, it's probably somewhere in the instructions that I didn't read. Also the food bags stain and look gross even if you sterilize them, so I got some replacement bags. I'm sure they're clean as I washed them thoroughly, but they just don't look very clean after a couple of uses, I feel better just replacing.

Aside from that I am buying another one to use and replacement bags as this does work well, I just won't sterilize the handle again. Overall they do exactly what they are designed to do, just with the replacement bags it is a little more costly than I originally anticipated.

Great concept to get baby to try different whole foods, but it is REALLY hard to get clean. Banana still remains on mesh, and I've cleaned it 3 times and soaked it in soapy water.
