The first time I gave my seven month old this self-feeder, she was so curious, she kept looking at it and squeezing the chopped up grapes in the mesh bag. I put it in her mouth and she started to hold it herself. SHE LOVES it so much! She gets upset when I take it from her to refill. The push tabs for parents to unscrew the base is a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it! It doesn't bother me since my little one loves to eat out of it. In addition, frozen fruits are great to put into the bag esp. if your little one is teething! My little one is just starting to teethe, so it soothes her gum perfectly!

My 7.5 months twins love the feeder; they pretty quickly figured out how to use it and have been enjoying watermelon, strawberries, mango and melons -- things I wouldn't be able to give them yet without it. It's easy to assemble and clean and the colors are fun. Great entertainment for the babies too!

My 9 month old son loves this! I wish I had bought it sooner. He cried when I took it away this morning to refill the bag (the bag could be a little bigger!). It seems to help him with his teething pains and I think he appreciates the independence of feeding himself. It is a little hard to unscrew as most child proof items are. The trick for me is to push in the buttons with both hands and turn the handle with my teeth! It worked great!

Put a frozen bagel chunk in this and you have the perfect teether! This is the only product that's given my teething daughter any relief. I agree with other reviewers who say it's difficult to open, but it doesn't really bother me. I'd much rather struggle a little knowing there's no way it's going to compromise my little one's safety!

I have given my 7 month old grandson shredded apples, pears, oranges, frozen melon, and asian pears in this wonderful teether. He enjoys the juicy flavor of the fruit as well as being able to chew to his hearts content. I enjoy the fact that this a safe way to give him healthy fresh fruits and vegatables to chew on. He loves this! The only problem is that once it is closed, it is dificult to open. I really have a hard time getting it open to clean or refill, however, it is worth the mild difficulty.

I LOVE this product. The idea for the fresh food is great, but I first bought it for my 4 month old that started teething. She hates the frozen rings on her hands. I put the frozen plasic ice cubes in the mesh bag and tighten it down. She goes to town on the ice and no mess, other than drool. The con of this product is how hard it is to open once you have tightened it down. Safe for baby, but hard to re-open. Cleaning hasnt been a problem. I am buying a couple more just to have on hand.

I went for the upgrade and bought this product. Both of my other children used the flip-top Sassy model which I loved. I took a risk and tried this model. I find it extremely difficult to open and fill. On the flip side I do enjoy the ease of cleaning and the portability.

I love being able to give my son crackers, pizza crust, and fruit in it and not worry about him choking on it. It is a great teething product. My son is 6 months and he holds onto it himself. I usually take it along when we go out to eat and give him teething crackers in it. He cries if I take it away.

My daughter started using this when she was 9 months old. It is very messy to put banana in, but it works GREAT with watermelon, cantalope, pears, mango, ice, peaches, etc. If you get the refill bags you can just throw away a bag that gets too messy.

My daughter loved this, and would happily suck and chew ice, vegetables and fruit through it. However, I bought it 5 weeks ago, and use it a couple of times a week, and tonight while hand-washing it, I saw that the liquid in the handle had gotten soapy - so liquid is clearly leaking in and out. Guess I have to throw it away, as this isn't safe or hygienic. Very bummed.

Great Idea! My 6 month old loves this thing! He gets REALLY excited when he sees it! This teething feeder lets him feed himself without the immediate hazard of choking and it keeps him occupied for 20 minutes or so. You can put all kinds of fresh food in it, anything from pears to ice chips to animal crackers! However, it is a bit of a pain to open and close (the threads don't always line up properly when closing it and the lock takes some mastering in order to get it open). Also, the mesh is difficult to clean sometimes (bananas and peaches mostly) and stained the first time i used it. i would suggest buying the replacement mesh pack also. overall, i am glad that i bought this, and the look on my boy's face when he sees it is priceless!

This product is great for serving fruit to a beginning self-feeder. The only downside is that almost any fruit is messy with the juice that leaks out. My baby loves using it, so I overlook the messy part and just wash her fruit-stained cloths in warm/hot water. It works just great! (Or I suppose a bib works too, my baby likes to pull those off!)

My son loves this product. It came recommended by a friend and it is so useful. It has been indispensable while he's teething. We fill it with frozen fruit and it helps his gums.
