These are good at keeping the cord at a higher level, but they are a bit flimsy, and my toddler can take them apart and get the cord back down, so I would prefer something a bit sturdier.

I had a lot of trouble with the Safety 1st Window Blind Cord Wind-ups. Those were nothing but frustration and trouble just trying to get them onto the cord! I finally gave up, and thankfully Diapers.com gave me a refund.

The Rhoost cord winders are perfect. They are so simple with their effortless installation. They are uncomplicated, which is unlike these Safety 1st Window Blind Cord Wind-ups, which have 2 parts that need to be aligned and twisted together around the cord.

These Safety 1st wind-ups were cheaper than the Rhoost wind-ups, which is why I initially bought them instead of the Rhoost wind-ups. Bad mistake. I was fiddling with the Safety 1st Window Blind Cord Wind-ups and never got them on properly; as a result, I like the Rhoost window cord wind-ups way better. Money talks.

I considered taking down our matchstick blinds in every room for the next 3 years but hated leaving holes in the oulding for a 3 year childproof solution. These cord covers made it much safer for clever daredevil toddlers. Nothing to pull on, nothing to pull down, nothing to wrap around the neck.

It took about 20 minutes to put on two blinds, mostly because I had to keep trying to get it the right length so we could still close the blinds, but not allow our toddler to reach them when they were up. I can't imagine it being easier with any other product though. And they work. Plus the price is SO reasonable.

I purchased these for the metal ball-chain blinds we have in our apartment. The reviews on this site are terrible for this product but I thought I'd chance it at [$] a pack! Contrary to some other reviewers, the pack we purchased did work, they were simple to use and did the trip BUT the problem is they aren't large enough. For exmaple on one blind, we used two 'spools' and still I feel like we might need a third there. The design fault is that they are small and there isn't much room to wind in too much blind cord, thus you need more than one. They did work, I'm purchasing more to use as they are cheap, but do bear in mind you'll need more than one to make a difference.

Found that you have to tape the plastic pieces together if you want them to work. Lame design, looks cheesy on the wall with tape.

This product may not cost much, but save the few dollars and apply it to something different. These are really useless.

this fit fine on our white wooden blinds. we didn't have any problems like the other reviewers for some reason and i've bought them multiple times- we keep adding them to more windows. you have to put both string pulls thru the device....and pull up and down. the ones we have gotten have stayed together and prevent the little ones from getting tangled up in the strings.
i would recommend this product.

This product is very flawed, but it does the job I need it too. I have old blinds that I haven't gotten around to changing to cordless shades, so I needed something to keep the cords out of the way. I ended up having to cut the cords to get these things to fit. The winding up of the cords in these is a bit time consuming, and you have to get it in just the right place. Then when you want to put the blinds down you have to slowly unwind the things, or just remove them entirely. Definitely cumbersome... but I use these where I open the blinds once in the morning and close them at night, so it's not too bad. I would definitely not recommend this product if you need to be able to pull the blinds/shades up and down easily.

These things are flimsy and falls apart easily. The one I installed in the nursery came apart while I was pulling up my blinds and it hit my baby! Works great if you don't touch your cords, ever.

I don't know what exactly I expected when purchasing such an inexpensive product, but it didn't work out. My cords were too long and didn't fit in the space for them, and they wouldn't stay closed probably for the same reason. I'd say keep looking for a more expensive but more effective product.
