I got this to keep my son out of the cabinet we keep all our dvds in. My mother in law thought it was cute that he would open and close the doors constantly and pull every dvd out but, I'm not so enthused by that. This is able to keep him out and he moves on to play with something else quickly.

We need cabinet locks but so far cannot find any that will fit handles 5" apart. Come on people! This stupid thing only fits up to 4.75". Argh! Now we have to return it. What a pain. If the limitations were made known on the product page then we would not have ordered it to begin with.

Used the plastic lace-like fastener on our cabinet first, which broke. This one is bendy but doesn't break and has held against a pretty fiesty 2-year-old attempting repeatedly to break it open like the last one.

I used this cabinet lock to keep my 9 month son out of our media cabinet and the very first day he snapped the end right off of it with barely even pulling on it. Very cheap construction.

Was looking for a good lock to keep my 1 1/2 year old out of our cabinets. This one does a great job.You have to use two hands to open and close the locks. Plus, it's easy for an adult to figure out to easily open fairly quickly. I have these locks on every cabinet in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. My daughter may go up and jiggle it but then lose interest and continue on her investigations. My only problem is to remember to re-lock them when I put dishes away in the kitchen.

We use these in our bathroom since we don't care as much about the look of the cabinets in there. It would look messy on all the kitchen cabinets, but in the bathroom, they're super easy, no drilling... and we can take them with us when we visit other homes or go see the grandparents.

I would recommend but would also let a friend know that these aren't easy-on/easy-off cabinet locks, even for adults. You really need two hands free to maneuver them properly, but they work to keep the little hands out of the cupboard!

We use this lock on our kitchen cupboard under the sink. Very easy to use and so far has kept out our crawler!

This does the job better than another similarly-designed and less expensive item by Safety 1st. It's pretty sturdy, but may attract your baby to pull/chew it. Our son pulls so hard on it that he has bent the longer arm piece to the point where the slider piece always catches and sticks. They're so hard to open now that we can only use them on cabinets that we rarely open. We finally gave up and got the hook latches that drill in, and we're much happier with those. As another reviewer said, these will scratch your cabinets.

I ordered 3 of these and figured they'd be hard to use for my old arthritic hands, plus newfangled stuff just is hard to install. Wrong! It went on so easy I figured I'd done it wrong. I can open and close it all day, no problem at all, although I did stop when I was opening it and my nosy grandson came over to watch how I did that. He's 12 mos old and too smart for my own good. He's tried opening the cabinets but can't. So far, these are perfect!

Easy to open, looks decent. Keeps our ten month old out of the cabinets. A 2-3 year old might be able to figure it out, maybe, but it's great for the little ones.

These were the second cabinet locks I tried that did not work - super frustrating! They were just not wide enough for my cabinets (I live in an apartment with older cabinetry...the cabinet knobs are farther apart than these allow for) - the locking mechanism was flimsy and seemed to open too easy. Better to use the ones that look like bolo ties for cabinets that are farther apart. That was my third effort at babyproofing and those worked.

After trying a few products that were hard to use, this item has been great. Very easy to open and close and durable. My son pulls himself up to stand using these sometimes and they take the strain no problem!

These fit perfect on our bathroom under sink cabinets, are easy to open and toddler proof so far (we have a very curious 20 month old).

This is the only cabinet lock I've found that doesn't keep me out. It is easy enough to open that I can use the kitchen cabinets as I always have...without a struggle.
