Comments about Quick Read Ear Thermometer:

I bought this because I thought it would be quick easy and accurate... you could take the temp of the same person 10 times and it will never once be the same. It just picks a random number and shows up. Also after a couple weeks I decided to try it again and the battery was already dead.

Comments about Quick Read Ear Thermometer:

This product gave inaccurate and inconsistent readings that were off by 2 to 3 degrees. We were are using it on our 5 month old son. His ears are now large enough to fit the nozzle comfortably. Recently one morning he felt very warm so we checked his temperature. At first it gave a reading of 97.9. However, after taking a couple more readings it started saying 101.8. Since it was still early morning, my wife had to take the day of and rushed him to the Pediatrician. At the doctors office, he was registering only a slight fever of 99.3. I tested myself with the Safety 1st thermometer later that day and it gave me a reading of 101.7 and I was not feeling feverish at all. I then used a regular digital oral thermometer on myself and our son (with appropriate cleaning in-between) and that gave readings that were much more reasonable and in line with the Pediatricians office. I plan to send this product back to the manufacturer for a refund.
