This frog is serving our bath times well. It has been in use for over 6 months and I have never experienced a problem. I give it as a gift for baby showers.

We purchased this frog a bit ago, and for a while it worked fine. However, the other day when my husband put the thermometer in the water to test it, the frog started squeezing out black dirt. I plan on contacting Safety 1st about this. I would return it, but it is not worth the hassle. We just threw it in the trash.

Our doctor recommended a water temperature of around 85 degrees Fahrenheit, but the product does not have temperatures this low.
So, we just use it a bath toy but it's quite heavy.

(I'd given my niece a rubber ducky bath thermometer that just displays "hot" on the bottom, but I now know that the "hot" permanently displays after a couple of uses. If I were to buy her another one, I'd get her this frog!)

I received this as a baby shower gift (because my family knows I love frogs, although my baby's theme isn't necessarily frogs) and I use it for baby's every bath. This frog is a constant display and I like that it only gives you the acceptable temperature range, and whether it's on the high end or low end of each degree (ie. so if the water is still getting hotter and hotter, you will see the progression). It's a no-brainer, if you don't see the numbers, don't put baby in the bath! It's also a quick registering display, so at the end of baby's bath, when we're using a hand held shower head to rinse off baby, we just periodically spray the frog to make sure the water is still at the right temperature.

My baby doesn't yet play with bath toys, but this frog looks fun and he floats.
