Comments about Outlet Cover with Cord Shortener:

Not sure how strong some of these other toddlers are, but this is an excellent product! Very hard for even adults to open, if it's closed correctly. You've got to listen for the click, and make sure the cords fall into the little holes provided by the product. It is only useful with standard plugs, so most baby monitor plugs won't fit. We use them to cover all our outlets which are always in use.

Comments about Outlet Cover with Cord Shortener:

I bought these outlet covers to begin the process of changing my daughter's room from a crib friendly area to a toddler-bed safe haven. Because she will soon have free reign of her bedroom while the household is asleep, I want to make sure everything is very safe. I had a problem with some outlets because they were being used and could not be covered with furniture. These outlet covers are perfect for that sort of situation. No way will she be playing with those cords!

My son yanked the "protective cover" off in half a second flat by pulling up on the cords. I guess I could duct tape the cords to the floor to prevent it, but who wants duct tape on the wall?

Comments about Outlet Cover with Cord Shortener:

This installs easily. Problem is the cover is not large enough to accomodate most plugs. If cord is firm and not bendable where it comes out of the plug the cover cannot close all the way. Have to return.

Comments about Outlet Cover with Cord Shortener:

This is PERFECT for covering up those outlets that HAVE to have be used and can't be hidden behind furniture! With two adventurous little boys, cords being unplugged is a daily thing! Once we installed this (installs like a regular outlet facecover--one screw), the kids could no longer unplug the cords! They don't even look at it anymore, it works that well. To that end, it actually does work a little TOO well, as I have difficulty opening the cover to access the outlet. It's defnitely not impossible, just difficult for me. Hubs has no problem! We have only taken the cover off 3 times, though, and twice was to move! I don't recommend it for somewhere you are going to be constantly removing and replacing the plug, but for a lamp or whatever, it's awesome!

Comments about Outlet Cover with Cord Shortener:

We use this product to cover our outlets that are in use. It works well for the smaller average power cords, like lamps or tv cords. The main problem is if you need to plug in a thicker cord like an extention cord or a cable. These cords do not fit through the holes provided at the ends. We ended up having to file a larger hole to make it work.
