Comments about Grip n' Go Cabinet Lock - 2 pk:

I hate to say this because I like the way they look relative to other locking solutions BUT they are IMPOSSIBLE to open.

They also don't open as far as I needed them too.

Comments about Grip n' Go Cabinet Lock - 2 pk:

So, I get the ultimate purpose of these things is to keep our kids safe, and to that end these are great. NO ONE is getting behind these things.

I actually leave these things unlocked and just gripping the cabinet knobs (a little farther apart than norm) just so I don't have to unlock them. And when they are locked, I hope my husband is home because I can barely open them.

I felt compelled to write this review tonight, after struggling with these things for a couple of months, and I thought it would be better and faster to force open the lock, even if I chipped or broke the doors/handles than try to open it properly.

Again, I get we're trying to keep our kids safe, but the beauty is that adults can still use it.

            Fail.

Maybe it's just me, but I find this difficult to operate, meaning I have a hard time opening once it's in place. It works great to secure the cabinet doors, but when I need to get into the cabinets, I struggle to open up the lock.

The originals were great, then they redesigned them and they are impossible to open. Im a mom of 5 and have used these before. This new design is horrible. Sometimes its smart to leave a good thing alone.

This product is great-if you never want to open your cabinets again. After struggling to install these on two cabinets, I then struggled even harder to get them off. I even got to the point where I considered taking off the cabinet knobs. I will be returning them tomorrow.

I'm trying to be nice here, but I'm coming up with many, many swear words instead. I HATE this latch. My husband is an engineer and he can barely get the thing to work! If we want to watch a movie (it's installed on our entertainment center) it's easier to just unscrew the knobs than to actually make the latch work! I'm going shopping this evening to buy a different type. I'm pretty sure anything will work better than this one!

A lot of reviewers say this is a bad product, but one suggested to use it upside down (with the button on top) and she was right... These can be great! Toddler will never figure out how to get it open, once you get the hang of it, very easy to use, and strong enough to keep your cupboards closed. Check the measurements though -- I believe there is a (generous) maximum of how far apart your closet knobs are.

These locks are the worst. They quickly become impossible to open without a major two handed effort. I am getting rid of a dozen of them and replacing them with the kind with a longer, cord-like hook.

I agree...measure before you buy. If it will fit, then it's a great product. It definitely keeps my kiddo out and he's really starting to get curious about what's inside the cabinets. (Which is why I am buying more.) Fortunately they fit my cabinets (but barely). It's pretty simple to get on and off. I do have them on the last click though. I just pull them off around the handles. I suppose if I used them as meant to be (i.e. the push button to open and close) it might be more frustrating, but they fit the cabinets so it's perfect for me. Just measure....if it will fit, it's great. If it won't - you'll probably not like them...they'd be much better if they had one or two more notches.
