I've plugged these in to light the path from my kids' room to ours. However, the product description indicated they were light sensing to turn off when not needed. This is NOT the case. I would have looked harder, but the switch is really easy. My oldest makes it her thing to turn them off in the AM, so it's really not that bad. I wonder how long they'll last. These actually replaced ones that were only 6mths old. So, if they have a longer life, then that would balance out lack of light sensor.

This has a nice shape, the light is soft, but the description reads that it goes on and off automatically (light sensor), which is why I bought this model. Um, it does not. You have to manually switch it on and off, and the switch is on the bottom of the unit. Not a huge deal, but certainly not an accurate description of the product.

These nightlights are awesome! The light is both soft enough as to not disturb my toddler son's sleep and strong enough to see everything in the room. He's able to find his pacifier in the middle of the night if he drops it! The nightlights emit a white/light blue color which is very attractive. And even though these nightlights are always on, they have an on/off switch on the bottom!

Bright, but not blinding. Does not emit heat. Perfect for our baby's room. We don't need to turn on lights to change and feed in the night, hence allowing baby to quickly fall back into "sleep" mode.

The only thing I would ever change is the on/off switch being on the bottom. Our outlets are really low, so it is hard to get them off/on.

If this had the sensor for auto on/off it'd be perfect. It has a switch on it - you have to manually turn it on and off.

The fact that this does not turn on when it is dark just baffles me. Who wants to reach down and turn on a nightlight every night? I didn't even know this existed. Great though if that's what you're looking for. The light it emits also is very cool versus a nice warm light. So, to me, not nice in the nursery. I am not even going to use these.

We bought these right after our baby was born as we needed a little extra light to see into her bassinet without waking. These have the perfect glow to illuminate little people but not keep big people from catching some much needed sleep. Great in a 2-pack as well so we have one in our room and one in the nursery. Highly recommend.

We bought this nightlight after bad experiences with also Safety 1st nightlight (http://www.diapers.com/p/safety-1st-soothing-stars-nightlight-2-pack-8508). The Cool Tough Nightlight is working without any problems so far, gives soft light and has a very practical on/off switch.

This is a great night light. You can plug it in with the light bulb on top or turn it upside down, depending on how you want to direct the light. My husband uses this in the baby's room to do the night time feedings and changings. Great value for the money.

I liked these nightlights for my daughter's rooms - until the bulb in one burnt out. These come with a special bulb and the cover will not fit over a standard nighlight replacement bulb. I looked at 2 different stores today and could not find bulbs like the ones that came with these night lights.

I bought these after I realizing the nightlamp I used was too bright. These nighlights are perfect. I only need one and I have it positioned at the head of the crib where the wood is mostly solid to ensure no direct light on my babe's face. The nightlight gives off the right amound of light, not too bright so baby can sleep and enough light that I am able to locate a pacifier when it goes missing in the blanket.

My son won't sleep without a night light. He's already broken three regular night lights because he likes to pull them out of the wall. The best part of these is that there is no light bulb to worry about him breaking.
