We got this for our son because it was the three in one potty. We didn't find out until we really began potty training that the blue cushion for the seat is super absorbent. The cushion now stinks, weighs three times its original weight, and you can wring large amounts of urine out of it. I have been very diligent about cleaning the seat but a little urine gets underneath the cushion each time my son uses the potty and gets absorbed before I can wipe it up. Its really really gross.

At 1 1/2 I started potty training my son because he was getting to the point where he wanted to change his own diaper and wipe himself. I wanted to get a chair that had cushion/comfort so I bought this potty. First time sitting on it my son freaked out he was too big for it. I tried to help adjust him but he got even more mad because the splash guard didn't even cover him! Bottom line, Too small, too many parts, hard to clean and not efficient in what it was made to do.

The cushion seat is a great idea but when pee gets all over the seat, it absorbs it like a sponge. We clean it every time with disinfectant wipes and it still smells like urine. Plus the guard for the boys is not big enough. After a week we went and bought a new potty chair.

I brought this potty seat home and we never even used it. It had way to many parts that I think would be messy and cumbersome to clean. No thanks!

I had read the reviews before about this potty but I decided to buy it anyway, as soon as i brought it home and opened it my son was in love. He was only 18 months when I bought it for him and he went right on it and did his business. He is now 21 months and potty trained. Aside for it being a little hard to clean I would definitely recommend this product.

I loved the idea of this potty and step stool. Problem is you can't use the step stool because the lid is wobbly. The seat has already started cracking and my daughter isn't even using it regularly yet. Very disappointing.

This chair doesn't have all the bells and whistles of other chairs, but it does a great job. I haven't had any of the problems of the other reviewer, but I have a girl. It is easy to clean and I love that I can pop it off and put it on the toilet. We just take the top part when we travel.

we got this for our little boy despite the one bad review. We figured the combination stool and 2-stage potty was a great idea. Wrong. It's way too bulky, too high for our little guy to sit on comfortably(and he's not small, the little guard on the soft seat isn't high enough to 'catch' everything, and the hard part is really uncomfortable. We're probably going to just order another simpler potty to learn on.

I would not recommend this potty seat. I thought the soft seat would be nice, but we are on day 5 of potty training and the seat is sooooo smelly! I clean it every time my son uses it, but it is too late because the seat cushion has already absorbed the pee. The deflector is too low and it is difficult to make sure everything goes into the potty. While the concept of a 3-in-1 is great and closing the lid to use as a step stool is nice...the lid simply gets in the way and scratches his back if he leans back at all. I took the lid off.

Simply put...buy something else if you have a boy! I wish I had...
