We use these child locks to secure our cabinets that have handles. We are getting ready to install them on our cabinets with knobs. These are so easy to use, they don't damage the cabinet, and they are really easy to open/close when you're in a rush. My toddler can't figure them out, which is a plus! We are buying them for every cabinet in our home. Love them!

We use these on a number of cabinets around the house. We've broken two of them by catching bags on them while walking by. Our two year old, however, isn't strong enough yet to get past them.

These cabinet locks are very useful. They are simple to use, and keep little hands out of cabinets where they don't belong. They are not very attractive (and stand out very much against my black furniture), but they work like a charm and are simple to use. I am using them primarily to secure cabinets on furniture where I couldn't or did not want to install more permanent cabinet locks. Also, these are a very good price point with no sacrifice in quality for the lower price.

These have worked fine for me. I have handles and knobs. They definitely work better with the handles, but they are fine with the knobs too, as long as you have the latch tight. My knobs have a narrow base compared to the knob head, which is key. They seem flimsy, which is why I'm not sure how they'll hold up when my 11 mo old gets bigger/stronger, but they're working for now!

This product rated very well in a popular consumer magazine, so I tried it out. As some other reviewers have said, this does not fit many types of cabinet knobs. The piece that connects/slides is too thick for some knobs. If installed as pictured, you may find that the slider/latch sits beside the right knob instead of wedging behind it. Your child can then simply pull it off without knowing how the safety features work. Safety 1st makes another similar (yet more expensive) product that has a thinner slider/connector piece and does fit our cabinets. We loved that one for the first two days until our toddler kept thinking it was a new toy. He grabbed and bent the plastic piece until it was unusable. We've switched to the hook catches you have to drill in, and so far we've been much happier.

I bought one of these as a trial, hoping to avoid drilling into our cabinets. Very easy to put on, but was somewhat difficult to remove. It would either work perfectly or keep getting stuck. As for the true test - it was an epic failure. My 10 month old pulled it off in about 45 seconds. The product itself could be very harmful (long plastic spikes) if you're not watching your kid while he dismantles it! I have standard cabinets, but it appears that the knobs don't stick out far enough for this to properly fit. I tried it on a cabinet with different knobs - also a failure. Don't bother with this product.

this product is great at first, easy to install and easy to remove when you want to get in your cupboard. But any baby will also find it easy to remove. Next thing you know everything is out on the floor, or in someones mouth!

They don't work for me either bc the knobs on our cabinets are very close to one another or the knobs are too small. Either way, I am not able to close the slide lock tight enough and thus they come off easily. I instead used an elastic pony tail holder (a rubber band will also do).

Works well on cabinets with handles not knobs. The mechanism can be difficult to open if you don't push it in correctly.

I bought a few packs of these to try out with our little explorer. He can't open them yet (he's just turned 1), so they work in that sense, but it is such a hassle for us to take them on and off each time we need to throw something away or pull something out of a cupboard. They only worked with our kitchen cabinets because the handles are the right width apart. They don't work well with handles that are greater than 4" apart. I think these would do best on cabinets that you don't open that often. For cabinets that you open at least once daily, I would splurge and get a better quality product.
