          Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

I bought two of these, and absolutely would recommend them. This gate is easy to use right out of the box, but has many finish imperfections, as well. I really needed to allow our senior cat access to his food and litter box, but not have my 13 month old accessing those areas. This does the job wonderfully and inexpensively!

          Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

We have two of these, and they work great. We have a giant coon cat and a fat black cat, so I had doubts that they would fit through the hole when I ordered the first one. But both of them fit fine (I guess fat and fur compresses well) and they figured it out right away. As others have said, the top gets scratched up very easily and looks beat up, but since the "cat hole" works so well I don't really care. And yes, check the width range first; it is too wide for our bathroom doorway but fits fine in our hallway. If you have baseboards you may have to set it up just above the thick part of the baseboard, as it doesn't adjust if the space is narrower at the base part vs. the top.

I ordered this to go at the top of my stairs so my baby wouldn't roll down. I got it out to set it up and it was literally centimeteres from being too short. Waste of money. It works in a normal door frame but that is probably it. Spend a little extra for something better.

              Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

We needed something to keep the kid out of the litterbox but something our cat could still get through. This does the trick. It's your standard pressure gate so we can take it down when needed and put it up when needed, for instance when there is only one of us at home and we can't be redirecting the little one 100% of the time. (Why does he love the litterbox so much? Time for a sand table in the flat?) The hole is a good size for the cat and small enough that the little one's head doesn't come remotely close to fitting. All around good for what we need. One star less because the wood does scratch up with use, but that's the tip of the iceburg when you have a kiddo on the loose.

              Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

I use this gate to keep my 10 month old out of the kitchen, while allowing my three cats access to their food. All three cats can fit through the pet opening, even my 16 lb. tomcat (although he also enjoys leaping over it). One thing of note is that the finish is not durable AT ALL. It looked a little dinged right out of the box. Over the course of a few weeks use, the top edge finish is mostly scraped off from rubbing on the metal clamps that hold the sliding panels together. This isn't such a big deal for us, as we are looking for functionality first and it comes through in a big way. Perhaps in the next incarnation Safety First will use a more natural finish.

                Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

This gate is absolutely perfect for my "cat room". We have 3 cats of various sizes, plus an 8 month old who gets into everything. We needed a way to block off the cat litter and food but still allow the cats to come and go as they needed. They are all older cats and jumping a gate is NOT an option. All 3 cats figured out the cut out door right away but the baby cannot fit through (not even close). It's a sturdy gate, my baby likes to stand up against it and watch the cats on the other side and I'm not worried at all that she'll pull it down. Only negative? It has fixed pressure mounts, so it only fits a doorway or opening with same-width walls. Unfortunately, it won't work for our stairs, but for the room it's in, it's perfect.

This produce is good in theory - I have 2 cats and they are both 12 pounds a piece. My male cat got stuck in the opening and I had to get him to back out. The opening needs to be sized properly for different cat breeds.

                      Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

I bought this gate because of the way our house is set up. Having the baby in our kitchen is absolutely not going to happen. Our cats and small dog have their food in there and there are hazards we can not babyproof.

Our cats are getting up there in age and they could not jump over other gates. On top of that, this allows our small dog to get to his food and sleep on his bed undisturbed. Our dog weighs about 10 lbs and he just fits through it. He didn't want to go through it at first but once he realized there was no other choice, he's a pro now!

I like the color because is matches our hardwood floors and isn't tacky.

This is a must have if you have pets that need to get around, especially for a small dog!

This gate is exactly what we were looking for...a gate with an escape route for our cats without a swinging pet door. Our oldest cat is getting a bit too old (and fat) to leap gates all day. The cat hole is perfect even for his fatt butt, but small enough that our son doesn't even attempt to crawl through.

Placed this product to keep the baby from going in the spare/catch all room, but the cat's love to sleep on this bed. Wonderful!! I was concerned that our heaviest cat about 16lbs (I know) wouldn't be able to use it. But this basketball with a head walks thru just fine, no effort. I've just ordered a 2nd since the baby is now walking to limit her wander!

                                Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

We've had this gate for only a few days and so far it's working very well. We use it in the doorway between the dining area and kitchen. Our cat can easily get through the cat opening to access her food and water (which are in the kitchen), and our 11-month-old baby cannot get through the opening and does not seem likely to get her head stuck in the hole. Our cat is a little over 10 lbs -- she's a small (and currently somewhat underweight) Maine coon, so is somewhat larger than the average cat. I'm not sure that the largest Maine coons or the fattest domestic short hairs could fit, but I was surprised that our cat could with no trouble at all. And somehow it's very entertaining to watch her go through it (although I suppose I am easily entertained). It's a little tall to step over, so not that convenient for a doorway that gets a lot of use, but it's easy to take it down at our baby's naptime and bedtime, so at least we don't have to step over it then. A swinging version of the same thing would be nice.

We really like this gate. It is easy to install and the cats can get away from our 17 month old granddaughter who likes to chase them. We have only had the gate a week but it seems sturdy.

                                Comments about Baby-n-Pet Gate:

We have a 9 month old baby who is crawling and a 19 year old blind, arthritic cat. We needed a solution that would keep baby out of the cat litter and food, but allow our cat easy access to those areas. We just got these today, and it was very easy to teach the cat how to go through the opening, despite her blindness and arthritis. The opening is small enough to not allow our baby to crawl through or get her head stuck.
Would be even better if it was available in a permanent mount with a swinging door for people to walk through, but it is short enough for average height adults to step over comfortably.
